Abstract: A system and methodology which enables and enhances online instruction with respect to the use of applications. The present invention allows instructors operating in a one to many environment to logically and intuitively track and interactively assist multiple students in an online learning environment. The system and methodology of the present invention is particularly well suited to instruction with respect to complex computer-based applications in which one or more detailed processes are to be taught and where there are multiple students simultaneously seeking to learn how to interact with these processes in connection with the online application.

Abstract: A system and methodology which provides a platform through which traders can apply technical analysis functionalities and other innovative trading analysis methodologies in the context of a graphical user interface which also includes one or more pricing charts associated with the instrument of interest. According to the teachings of the present invention, this platform provides the ability to analyze and implement trades based on a user interactive process through which the system guides the trader in selecting trades that are expected to have a relatively high probability of being profitable.

Abstract: A system and methodology which permits users to share access to functionalities including those that analyze and execute trades of various financial instruments. While some information and activities associated with a user may be kept private and not shared with or made available to other users, other information and activities of that same user can be selectively made available to other individual users and/or groups of users. The determination as to whether information and/or activities of a user is available to other individual users can be made based upon a combination of preferences as specified by any or all of (i) the user creating the information and/or engaging in the activities; (ii) another user desiring to access the information and/or activities of the Sharing User; (iii) a group administrator and/or group decision making associated with a group of users having common interests; and/or (iv) preferences and controls set by one or more system administrators.

Abstract: A system and methodology which enables applications to provide selective permissioning to view, access and/or use features and functionality based on one or more criteria. These criteria may be selected from one or more characteristics associated with the specific user or user group accessing the application. Alternatively or in addition, the permissioning criteria may be based on the amount of payment or fees that the specific user or user group has paid in order to access the application. The usage of other criteria is also possible. For example, permissioning criteria may also include the specific time/day/period that user is accessing the application, the then-current overall usage of the application and/or related resources at the time the application is accessed by the user as well as other criteria.
