  • Patent number: 5071305
Abstract: An arrangement for transporting printed circuit boards along a path through a dryer operative for drying wet ink applied to at least one of the surfaces of each board, includes an endless conveyor for successively conveying the boards along a vertical ascent portion of the path, a horizontal portion of the path, and a vertical descent portion of the path. A plurality of supports for holding respective boards are mounted for joint movement on, and are successively arranged along, the conveyor. Each support includes a plurality of arms which only engage side edges of a respective board to prevent smearing of the ink during conveyance, and particularly between the ascent and horizontal path portions, as well as between the horizontal and descent path portions.

  • Patent number: 4805316
Abstract: A printed circuit carrier which is deposited on a mobile table and has two spaced-apart holes is aligned with reference to the printing unit by two locating members one of which is fixed to the table and the other of which is movable relative to the table toward and away from the one locating member. The locating members are expandible and contractible and are introduced into the holes of a carrier on the table in contracted condition to be thereupon caused or permitted to expand and to thereby center the carrier on the table. If the distance x between the axes of the holes in the carrier on the table exceeds or is less than an optimum distance x', the table, the locating members and the carrier on the table are shifted in the longitudinal direction of a line connecting the axes of the holes in a direction counter to the direction of movement of the other locating member relative to the one locating member through half the difference between x and x'.

  • Patent number: 4700488
Abstract: A substrate to be imprinted with a printed circuit has a pair of locating holes. The substrate is aligned and fixed relative to the drum of a screen printing machine via a pair of aligning and fixing devices each of which has a locating pin receivable in a locating hole. Each of the locating pins is axially divided into two parts which are urged into engagement with one another via a set of springs but can be spread apart against the action of the springs. When the two parts of a pin are in contact with each other, the width or diameter of the pin is substantially smaller than the diameter of the respective locating hole. On the other hand, the width or diameter of each pin in the spread condition equals the diameter of the associated locating hole. The substrate is placed on the aligning and fixing devices while the two parts of each pin engage one another so that the pins can be readily received in the locating holes.

  • Patent number: 4540084
Abstract: An apparatus automatically transfers printed circuit base plates from a loading to a printing zone by using pliers elements for gripping the base plate arranged in the loading zone, removing it from the reference dowels and transferring it automatically to the printing zone where the base plate is automatically positioned on reference dowels. The plier elements return to their initial position for gripping a new base plate loaded in the meantime.

  • Patent number: 4453873
Abstract: A loader for automatically supplying printed circuit supporting plates to a laminator where, above the stack of supporting plates, is provided a support moving to and fro in vertical direction relative to the plate stack, with the said support being fitted with two parallel running, horizontal guide rods having at their opposite ends cylinder-piston groups whose rods support parallel and horizontal ledgers, the free ends of which are equipped with gripping elements that can be displaced horizontally as well as vertically and are provided, in parallel to each horizontal ledger receiving the gripping elements, with a driven roller runway movable in the horizontal plane from a rest position to an operating position, in which it receives the plates having in precedence been collected by the gripping elements from the pile.
