  • Patent number: 5190026
Abstract: A modular countertop cooking assembly is provided comprising at least one cooking module and a control module. The cooking module includes a burner box housing, and preferably includes a downdraft ventilation system, and is adapted to operatively receive at least one heating unit within the burner box. The control module is preferably arranged juxtaposed to the cooking module and can provide selective control of the heating units and the ventilation system included in the cooking assembly. The cooking module burner box includes an integral peripheral trim about its top edge and the control module includes an integral peripheral trim about its edge, both of which interface when assembled to provide a flush appearance across their interface and the appearance of a unitary cooking appliance disposed within a countertop.

  • Patent number: 4785273
Abstract: A broadband, high power rf transformer is made by winding a tapered strip-line transmission-line conductor and dielectric material through two parallel slots, formed axially and symmetrically spaced apart, through a solid right cylinder of low loss magnetic material. Low inductance strip lines are used as leads. A thin sheet of high thermal conductivity material may be added in such a way as to augment heat flow with negligible degradation of rf properties. The design is particularly advantageous at frequencies from 1 MHz to 1000 MHz at pulse powers to several kilowatts at impedances from 2.OMEGA. to 75.OMEGA..

  • Patent number: 4750470
Abstract: A heater system is provided for use with a downdraft range. The heater is constructed and disposed within a burner pan associated with the range to produce a non-uniform heat output relative to the front-to-rear center line of the burner pan. The greater heat output is produced adjacent a side wall of the burner pan which is substantially opposite the air inlet of the proximity ventilation system.

  • Patent number: 3966130
Abstract: A composite frame for a cone crusher and the like is fabricated from a number of separate frame members which are cut or rolled from plate material and secured by welds. A particular feature of the frame is the manner of connecting the crusher main shaft housing to the outer bowl supporting structure.
