  • Patent number: 9979467
Abstract: A method of implementing troposcatter communications is provided. Transmittal of signals between receive and transmit antennas is performed in the time domain. • Publication number: 20140019383
Abstract: A process by which to examine and clarify responsibilities between counter-parties in a fiduciary, contractual or other relationship which entails legal responsibilities, obligations and potential liabilities by determining knowledge of and competency regarding the nature of the relationship using performance scores from a psychometric testing instrument to determine whether individuals or groups understand said relationship.

  • Publication number: 20140019382
Abstract: A process by which a psychometric test is embedded within the sequence of steps for completing an e-commerce transaction, determining knowledge of and competency regarding the product or service offering, using performance scores from a psychometric testing instrument to determine whether individual or group self-selectors understand the risks of their e-commerce choices. The purpose of inserting the psychometric test as a condition for limiting, expanding, restricting, or recommending a certain array of choices is to appropriately exercise fiduciary oversight and, in so doing, reduce or eliminate fiduciary and/or other forms of liability for the vendor, provider, distributor or other party offering products, services, and/or access to content or any other form of digital media. As an individual's score increases on the test, a larger array of choices become available allowing greater opportunity for e-commerce product, service or advise customization.

  • Publication number: 20130264856
Abstract: A honeycomb-shaped panel is formed from a plurality of generally sinusoidally shaped strips of molded fiberboard material each having spaced, oppositely directed flat peaks, the peaks of adjacent strips being secured together to form a plurality of hexagonally shaped cells extending perpendicular to the surfaces of the sheet. The strips may be cut from a single sheet of corrugated fiberboard sheet material and then secured together to form the honeycomb panel, or a plurality of such panels may be secured together face to face with their ribs aligned to form a stack, and selected cuts may be made through the secured, stacked panels to form a plurality of honeycomb panels of desired surface shape and height dimensions. The strips forming the cells are substantially rigid and resistant to collapse of the cells, and form a substantially rigid core when assembled between two flexible fiberboard skins, while the panel is bendable to adopt a desired panel curvature.

  • Patent number: 8452685
Abstract: A process for enrolling individual participants in financial products or services or a means of determining knowledge of and competency regarding service provider advice using performance scores from a psychometric testing instrument to determine whether individual participants understand the risks of their choices. As an individual's score increases on the test, a larger array of choices become available allowing greater opportunity for financial product, service or advise customization. This screening process benefits the individual by limiting choices where risks are not properly understood. Additionally, the use of the test as a screener to curtail unsuitable choices affords investment custodians, investment advisors or other providers a mechanism to demonstrate that they have properly exercised their fiduciary duty.

  • Patent number: 8297027
Abstract: A fiberboard panel is formed from at least one corrugated sheet of molded cellulose fiber material having alternating ribs and grooves. Spaced slits are cut through the ribs on one face of the sheet and terminate short of the opposite face so as to form at least one slotted portion of more flexibility which may be bent to form a curve. The corrugated sheet is sandwiched between two flat sheets of the same material to form a composite panel. The corrugated sheet or panel is formed by a wet processing method including successive cold and hot press steps in which a wet mat is pressed between an opposing perforated platen and non-perforated, elastomeric material platen of cross-sectional shape substantially matching the desired panel shape and dimensions.

  • Patent number: 8224732
Abstract: A process for enrolling individual participants in compensation and employee benefit plans using performance scores from a psychometric testing instrument to determine whether individual participants understand the risks of their plan choices. As an individual's score increases on the test, a larger array of plan choices become available allowing greater opportunity for plan customization. This screening process benefits the individual plan participant by limiting plan choices where risks are not properly understood. Additionally, the use of the test as a screener to curtail unsuitable plan choices affords plan sponsors a mechanism to demonstrate that they have properly exercised their fiduciary duty.

  • Publication number: 20090121156
Abstract: A method and apparatus for cleaning contaminated surfaces, especially semiconductor wafers, using energetic cluster beams is disclosed. In this system, charged beams consisting of microdroplets or clusters having a prescribed composition, velocity, energy and size are directed onto a target substrate dislodging contaminant material. The charged, high energy cluster beams are formed by electrostatically atomizing a conductive fluid fed pneumatically to the tip of one or more capillary-like-emitters.

  • Patent number: 7287008
Abstract: A system and method for use by a business entity for loan origination and underwriting in connection with real estate investment using a computer implemented application having a plurality of data input and dialog screens requiring one-time entry of data. The method includes steps to be followed in any sequence by one or more users of the business entity for using the system. The method includes inputting and storing loan origination information via data input screens, the information including financial and physical information relating to a specific real estate investment. The input loan origination information is dynamically compared with pre-determined rules and a dialog screen is displayed on a near real-time basis if any of said rules are violated. The input data is dynamically compared with other rules for determining the ongoing sequence of data input and dialog screens.

  • Patent number: 6691121
Abstract: A method is disclosed for extending data Areas in a DEDB database while the database is online. Specifically, the IOVF and SDEP data portions can be increased or extended while the database is active to the control region. In one embodiment, the method includes (a) receiving a requested extension size; (b) acquiring additional storage from the operating system; (c) formatting the acquired additional storage as DEDB control intervals; and (d) updating a DEDB areas control list (DMAC) to reflect the increased size of the DEDB Areas. While these actions are performed, regions of the data areas currently holding data are not modified and remain available for normal DEDB activity. When block level sharing is enabled, the current IMS process notifies the other IMS processes engaged in block level sharing to prepare for the extension of the DEDB areas prior to the acquisition of additional storage from the operating system.
