  • Publication number: 20070080890
Abstract: An antenna apparatus has a substrate, a plurality of meandered conductive strips and a feeding conductive strip disposed on the substrate. The meandered conductive strips have different sizes, and are spaced at intervals and arranged in parallel according to their sizes in order. The feeding conductive strip is electrically connected to the meandered conductive strips. Therefore, a radiating structure having multiple meandered conductive strips can generate electromagnetic mutual coupling, thus obtaining the resonance of multiple and wide-frequency bands.

  • Publication number: 20070027108
Abstract: A new method to produce formulations of bacterial cellulose that exhibit improved viscosity-modifying properties particularly with low energy applied to effectuate viscosity changes therewith is provided. Such a method includes the novel co-precipitation with a water soluble co-agent that permits precipitation in the presence of excess alcohol to form an insoluble fiber that can than be utilized as a thickener or suspension aid without the need to introduce high energy mixing. Such bacterial cellulose properties have been available in the past but only through highly labor and energy intensive processes. Such an inventive method as now proposed thus provides a bacterial cellulose-containing formulation that exhibits not only properties that are as effective as those for previous bacterial celluloses, but, in some ways, improvements to such previous types. Certain end-use compositions and applications including these novel bacterial cellulose-containing formulations are also encompassed within this invention.

  • Patent number: 7132024
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an artificial leather comprises the following steps. First, ultramicrofiber-forming fibers having an islands-in-sea type cross-sectional configuration are formed by blend spinning or conjugate spinning. Secondly, a porous reinforcement sheet of low compactness is formed from polyester, polyurethane or polyolefin by spunbonding, meltblowing or calendering. Next, the ultramicrofibers are entangled with the reinforcement sheet by needle punching or spunlace to form the complex reinforced ultramicrofiber nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven is impregnated or coated with an elastomer resin composition, and then subjected to a coagulating process, a washing process, a drying process and a removing process to produce a semi-product leather. Finally, the semi-product leather is then processed to produce the artificial leather.

  • Patent number: 7081865
Abstract: Several electromagnetic scattering structures are designed to improve antenna radiation patterns. The electromagnetic scattering structure has a conductive layer with certain patterns, and is applied on the radome of the base-station sector antenna. The electromagnetic waves radiating from the antenna therein induce scattering effects, which, together with the electromagnetic diffractions from the rear metal panel of the antenna, can substantially reduce the back lobe and the fields in regions not covered by the antenna. Thus, the antenna radiation patterns are improved so that a lower possibility of co-channel interferences between adjacent base stations can be achieved and therefore better efficiency of the base-station coverage also can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20060057432
Abstract: Elastic artificial leather is disclosed. There are provided two polymers that include different crystallization degrees but similar fluidities. Fibers are made of the polymers. Non-woven cloth is made of the fibers. The non-woven cloth is soaked in water at 50 to 90° C. Thus, the fibers curl so that the non-woven cloth is elastic. The non-woven cloth is soaked in PU resin, washed and dried. Alternatively, the non-woven cloth includes, in addition to the fibers (“first type of fibers”), additional fibers (“second type of fibers”) that can be dissolved in water, alkali or solvent. The non-woven cloth is soaked in PU resin, washed and dried. The second type of fibers is removed from the non-woven cloth and the PU resin in order to leave elongated spaces. Thus, the artificial leather is elastic.

  • Publication number: 20050090299
Abstract: A mobile phone capable of reducing an electromagnetic SAR in human bodies includes a base and a cover disposed on the base. The base includes an antenna for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic waves. The cover includes a screen and buttons. Electromagnetic absorbing materials having electric or magnetic loss are applied on the cover to mitigate electromagnetic waves radiating from the antenna into the user. Moreover, a meandered planar inverted-F antenna is attached to the back of the circuit board near the bottom of the base, which can generate a lower near field at the user's side than those in other directions, thereby reducing the electromagnetic specific absorption rate of the mobile phone in human bodies.
