Abstract: A needle for intraligamentary anaesthesia is provided, wherein the needle has a tubular body with a proximal and a distal end, the body comprises a proximal opening in the proximal end, a distal opening in the distal end and a passage, extending through the body, which connects the two openings, wherein the body is formed in one piece and the outer diameter of the tubular body is at no point greater than 0.30 mm and wherein the distal end narrows in the longitudinal direction from the proximal to the distal end, and is rounded and/or is free from cut edges.
