Abstract: The present invention provides a method, computer program product, and a data processing system for validating and configuring a database transaction request. A first transaction criteria of a plurality of transaction criteria is identified in a singleton in-memory object by reading a client identifier element value specified in a database transaction request. Each of the plurality of transaction criteria is associated with a respective client. Default data for a database path is determined based on the client identifier element value. A database command is generated that includes the default data.

Abstract: A method in a data processing system for generating return data responsive to a database request is provided. A response from a data store is detected. A merge reference section in a singleton in-memory object is located. A merge reference of the merge reference section is identified. A reference column from the merge reference is determined and data is merged with the reference column to form a merged value according to an order. The merged value is then placed in the response.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer instructions of generating SQL statements at run time from generic and abstract XML request and response messages is provided. A set of generic and abstract XML schemas are provided for a client to send request XML messages for performing actions on information of objects in a data store. An adaptor processes the request XML messages and generates the SQL statements to submit to the data store. Upon receiving results, the adaptor sends response XML messages that adhere to the generic and abstract XML schemas to the client, which then obtains values of results from response XML message.

Abstract: An improved apparatus and method for debugging computer programs is disclosed for enabling a programmer to step backwards through instructions by checking for exceptions, remembering which instruction generates an exception, and for providing an interface that allows the programmer to easily step back through the instructions in order to isolate the cause of the exception, without the undue repetition.

A second derivative file describing second presentation material is derived from a second copy of the master style sheet file. A second set of attributes included in the source information are included in the second derivative file. The first presentation and second presentation materials are generated responsive to the source information and the respective first and second derivative files.

Abstract: The method of the present invention enables a user to highlight and store information from an article for later retrieval and review. A user highlights information in an article via pointing device such as a cursor controlled by a mouse. This highlighted information is painted a predetermined color such that the highlighted information is distinguished from the remainder of the article. The web browser keeps a folder of all the pages that are highlighted so that the user can easily find articles that the user has highlighted. Upon returning to the highlighted web page at a later time, the user is able to quickly find information along with the context of the information. A copy of the article as highlighted is stored in a file system at a predetermined or designated memory location.

Abstract: This present invention provides an efficient method and system to manage service requests across multiple service request systems. This management method involves merging all service requests from multiple systems into standard system, sorting the request according to some standard and presenting a display list of all of the requests having a common characteristic to a technician or requester. Service requests are gathered from many different backend-ticketing systems and presented to the technicians in a single logical view. Service requests gathered from each backend ticketing system are packaged in an XML document format. The efficient use of a common XML format is an efficient way to manage all service requests from all backend-ticketing systems. These service requests can be sorted by ticket open or close date/time, status, severity of problem, etc. in ascending or descending order and be presented to the technicians in a single logical view.
