  • Patent number: 10051389
Abstract: A hearing device is disclosed. The hearing device comprises a receiver and/or a microphone unit and a first connector (e.g. a socket) for establishing an electric connection between one or more components of the hearing device and the receiver and/or microphone unit, wherein the receiver and/or microphone unit comprises second connector (e.g. a plug member) configured to be received by the first connector. The first connector is movably mounted in the hearing device.

    Filed: September 27, 2016
Date of Patent: August 14, 2018
    Assignee: BERNAFON AG
Inventors: Bernhard Baeriswyl, Fabian Morant, Eric Spahr
  • Patent number: 9924284
Abstract: The application relates to a hearing device comprising an input unit for providing an electric input audio signal, a configurable signal processing unit for processing an audio signal and providing a processed audio signal, and a reversible output transducer for converting an electric output signal to an acoustic output sound. The hearing device further comprises a measurement unit configured to convert a sound pressure level to an electric signal, termed the measurement signal, and a control unit configured to determine a present electric impedance of the output transducer or a measure indicative of said present electric impedance from said measurement signal. This has the advantage that no additional microphone or other measurement equipment is needed to provide a (e.g. in-situ) real ear measurement of sound pressure level. The invention may e.g. be used to control audio signal processing in hearing aids, headsets, ear phones, active ear protection systems, or combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 9204225
Abstract: A test system for evaluates acoustic feedback characteristics of a listening device by changing the transfer function of the signal path from an acoustic output to an acoustic input of the listening device. A variable filter comprises an acoustic input, an acoustic output, and a control unit for changing a transfer function of the filter. First and/or second acoustic propagation elements propagate acoustic sound, the first acoustic propagation element acoustically connecting the acoustic output of the listening device with the acoustic input of the variable filter, the second acoustic propagation element acoustically connecting the acoustic output of the variable filter with the acoustic input of the listening device; wherein the system is configured to allow a determination of acoustic feedback or a level of acoustic feedback of the listening device at different frequencies.
