  • Patent number: 8585650
Abstract: The invention relates to a needle stick guard for an anti-needle-stick puncturing kit for positioning a catheter according to the Seldinger technique, including a rocker having a journal so as to enable same to rotate about an axis, and an outer tip for locking the needle stick guard together with a base of another element of the puncturing kit. The rocker comprises three positions: a position in which it is locked together with another element of the puncturing kit; a position in which it is unlocked from the other element of the puncturing kit; and a protection position for trapping a sharp end of a needle in the guard.

  • Publication number: 20090062774
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for introducing a silicone catheter by the umbilical route. The introducing device comprises a polyurethane catheter in which the silicone catheter can slide, and a rectilinear and rigid tube (4) which is made of stainless metal and is shorter than the catheter (6) and whose internal diameter is adapted to the external diameter of the silicone catheter (1) in order to allow the silicone catheter to slide in the metal tube, while preventing entry of air between them, this metal tube being introduced into the proximal end of the polyurethane catheter and fixed to said catheter in such a way as to prevent entry of air between them. The invention applies in particular to the catheterization of premature babies or neonates.
