  • Patent number: 11195424
Abstract: A system including at least one image acquisition module to acquire images of the environment of the aircraft and of the runway, a module to recognize in the images at least one element representative of at least one contaminant likely to influence the state of the runway, a module to determine at least one property of the contaminant or contaminants and a module to transmit to a user device the property or properties of the contaminant or contaminants. The system allows contaminants to be identified and to be located on the runway or in the environment of the aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20200285828
Abstract: A system for automatically updating an airport database relating to an airport includes an assembly of information sources installed on an aircraft for generating information and notably images of the airport when the aircraft is travelling over or above the airport, and units for processing this information and for correcting data from the airport database in the case where at least one difference is detected between the information generated and the data contained in the airport database, the system thus being capable of automatically updating the airport database each time that an aircraft able to generate and to collect information is taxiing over the airport and/or flying above the airport such that the data available in the airport database is recent and reliable.

  • Publication number: 20200160736
Abstract: A method and a system for determining a pavement state are proposed. The method determines the pavement state from climatic data, i.e. data on the climate outside an aircraft operating on a pavement for aircraft, and pavement data, i.e. data relating to the pavement. The climatic data and the pavement data are acquired by sensors located on-board the aircraft. Because the pavement data, i.e. measurements of parameters of the pavement itself, are acquired by the aircraft itself, the system makes it possible to tell the difference between a plurality of pavement states in a plurality of pavement locations including zones upstream of the aircraft, whereas known solutions are limited to aircraft taxiing zones, generally braking zones.

  • Publication number: 20190251852
Abstract: A decision aid system includes an acquiring module for acquiring at least one current flight parameter of the aircraft, a reception module for receiving a set of information comprising runway characteristic data concerning at least the landing runway on which the aircraft is likely to land, an estimation module for estimating at least one likelihood of at least one state in which the aircraft can be upon the landing, an estimation module for estimating at least one probability of transition between the state or states estimated by the estimation module, an assessment computation module for in-flight assessment of at least one landing distance likely to be travelled by the aircraft on the landing runway, a determination module for determining at least one landing recommendation, a sending module for sending a signal representative of the landing recommendation or recommendations to a user device.
