  • Patent number: 8757541
Abstract: An aircraft nacelle comprising a power plant having a pipe with an aerodynamic surface, an air intake having an inside pipe with an aerodynamic surface, and an annular support of at least one measuring device having an aerodynamic surface, wherein the annular support is removably-inserted between the power plant and the air intake. In particular, the annular support is inserted downstream of the air intake and upstream of the power plant in a direction of flow of the stream of air, in such a way as to ensure continuity of the aerodynamic surfaces.

    Assignee: Airbus Operations S.A.S.
Inventors: Frédéric Chelin, Cedric Leconte, Fabienne Montetagaud
  • Publication number: 20110147534
Abstract: An aircraft nacelle includes an air intake (40) that makes it possible to channel a stream of air (42) in the direction of a power plant (44), whereby the air intake (40) includes an inside pipe (48) that forms an aerodynamic surface (52) that is in contact with the stream of air (42) that is extended toward the rear by an aerodynamic surface (54) of a pipe (56) of the power plant, characterized in that it includes a support (66) of at least one measuring device (68), whereby the support (66), in annular form, is able to be inserted in a removable way between the air intake (40) and the power plant (44) and includes a so-called aerodynamic surface (70) that can ensure the continuity of the aerodynamic surfaces (52, 54) that are arranged downstream and upstream according to the direction of flow of the stream of air (42).

  • Patent number: 6592078
Abstract: A process for de-icing an air intake cowling (5) of a reaction motor, having an air intake lip (6a), a de-icing system (10) and acoustic attenuation part (11), where the acoustic attenuation part includes separate islands (11a) formed by a sandwich of an acoustically resistive porous layer forming a portion of the external envelope (6i) of the fan channel delimited by the air intake lip, a cellular core, and a reflector (13), has the steps of sending into the lip, preferably in the direction of the acoustic attenuation islands, the warm fluid under pressure of the de-icing system, and causing the fluid to escape outside the cowling, through one or several openings (20) of suitable shape and size, provided in the cowling.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20020139900
Abstract: The object of the invention relates to a process for de-icing an air intake cowling (5) of a reaction motor, comprising an air intake lip (6a), a de-icing system (10) and acoustic attenuation means (11), characterized in that it consists in constituting said acoustic attenuation means by separate islands (11a) each formed by a sandwich comprising an acoustically resistive porous layer forming a portion of the external envelope (6i) of the fan channel delimited by said air intake lip, a cellular core, and a reflector (13), in sending into said lip, preferably in the direction of said acoustic attenuation islands, the warm fluid under pressure of said de-icing system, and causing said fluid to escape outside said cowling, through one or several openings (20) of suitable shape and size, provided in said cowling.
