Abstract: Apparatus for automatically superimposing and folding collants or stockings and transferring the same to packaging. The apparatus comprises a moving chain carrying grippers having the collants leg tips hanging thereon. The chain travels through a narrow loop, at which moving parts are provided and press the two legs of each collant against each other, whereupon a moving member picks up the stockings midway the length thereof, transferring the same as folded up to a collection station.

Abstract: Apparatus for automatically laying out stockings or collants for visual control and possible treatments thereof. The apparatus comprises a rigid shaped form, having a stocking inlet applied thereto, and an elongated element movable between a position, at which it is within the form, and a position, at which is projects from the form, stretching out the stacking that can be therefore controlled. At its stretched out position, the stocking tip is automatically gripped by a pliers, while the movable element is withdrawn, thereby leaving the stocking hanging from the pliers.

Abstract: Stocking toe end closing apparatus of the type having a series of horizontal stocking turning tubes mounted on a rotatable base for indexing to a position for spreading stocking toe ends carried on the supports, and for further indexing to a seaming position where the stocking toe ends are closed. The turning tubes are connected to a suction source at index positions before and after the spreading and closing positions for everting stockings thereat.
