There is a hook connected to one of the sidewalls, and being configured for attachment to a top edge of a litter box. A foot plate extends outward from the sidewall beneath the hook to keep the waste container in an upright position when the waste container is connected to a litter box with sloped walls. There is also a lid configured for attachment to the housing to cover the cavity.
