  • Patent number: 5156248
Abstract: A clutch thrust bearing includes a rolling bearing (1) equipped with an inner and an outer ring, one of the rings (6) being in permanent contact with a clutch member; and a guide sleeve (12) with a radial flange (13) relative to which the rolling bearing (1) can be displaced radially. The guide sleeve is axially slidable with respect to a guide tube under the action of a control member (17) having end fingers (18) for moving a metal support plate (15) integral with the radial flange (13) of the guide sleeve. The improvement includes contact shoes (19) which receive the end fingers (18) of the control member and are located between the fingers and the metal support plate of the radial flange.

  • Patent number: 5131763
Abstract: Wheel bearing hub for a vehicle, equipped with a pulser (16) and with a sensor (18). The pulser is fitted onto the rotating element (1) of the hub and comprises a protective part which externally encases the sensor head (17) sealingly, so as to isolate the latter from what is variously thrown up from the external environment.

  • Patent number: 5113988
Abstract: Clutch thrust bearing comprising a rolling bearing mounted on a guide bush equipped with a tubular part and with a radial flange which is engaged by the operating member which operates the thrust bearing. Snap-fastening members connect the operating member and the guide bush axially. The snap-fastening members include two metal retaining elements which are capable of being inserted and held by snap-fastening in a housing provided in the guide bush, each retaining element having a hook interacting with the operating member.

  • Patent number: 5011303
Abstract: Integrated bearing intended particularly for equipping a motor-vehicle wheel hub, comprising a rotary outer ring (1) and a stationary inner ring (2); at least one row of rolling elements (3) arranged between the outer and inner rings; an annular pulser (4) fixed to the rotary ring (1) in the vicinity of one of its ends; and a sensor (5) stationary relative to the stationary ring (2) and located opposite the pulser so as to be capable of measuring the rotational speed of the outer ring in relation to the inner ring of the bearing, characterized in that it comprises a substantially annular flange (6) delimited by an inner cylindrical rim (6a) fixed to the inner ring (2) and by an outer cylindrical rim (6b) which is coaxial relative to the inner rim and on the outside of which is mounted a sensor carrier (7) equipped with means (16) for fastening a connecting cable (8) connected to the sensor, the flange covering without contact the end of the outer ring (1) where the pulser is fastened and being equipped with a

  • Patent number: 4969694
Abstract: A vehicle non-driving wheel hub mounting equipped with a pulse-transmitter and sensor assembly comprises an integral rolling bearing (1, 2, 11, 12) with two rows of rolling elements (1). The active parts (16, 17) of the pulse transmitter and the sensor (18) are accommodated and positioned inside a volume delimited radially by the cylindrical inner surface (10) of a tubular protuberance (7). The protuberance also centers the brake disc (5) or drum and the wheel (6). The volume is delimited axially in one direction by a plane passing through the free end (20) of the tubular protuberance (7) and in the other direction by a plane passing through the large face (21) of the inner ring (11) of the rolling bearing located on the same side as the locking nut (15). The inner rings are axially locked by a locking component, and the sensor is radially inserted in a radially oriented receptacle formed in an external surface of the locking component.

  • Patent number: 4783182
Abstract: A roller bearing assembly with two rows of rolling elements includes a first ring formed in one piece to have two raceways and two independent rings each having one raceway, a device for maintaining the relative positions of the rolling elements between the rings and a device for fixing the two independent rings axially to one another. The relative positions of at least some of the rolling elements are maintained by two parts of a retention device which includes, before the bearing is assembled, one or more connecting zones in a relatively weakened condition so that they will break during assembly of the rolling bearing assembly.

  • Patent number: 4718528
Abstract: A traction-type clutch bearing device includes an engaging piece (1) maintained in permanent contact with the clutch diaphragm (13) by an elastic member (14), a thrust bearing (2) which can move axially relative to a guide tube (10) under the action of a control member (11), and an axial connecting device interacting with a retaining groove made either in the engaging piece or in a member of the thrust bearing to connect and/or disconnect the thrust bearing and the engaging piece. The connecting device includes a ball cage (3) and a plurality of balls (23) mounted between the engaging piece (1) and the thrust bearing (2) and which are capable, in the connection position, of interacting with a wedging zone (25) and the a retaining groove (24), to ensure axial locking, and, during removal, with a release zone (30). The wedging zone (25) and the release zone (30) are located either on an inner raceway (6) of the thrust bearing (2) or on the engaging piece (1).
