  • Patent number: 11286134
Abstract: Elevator car door systems are provided. The systems include an elevator car having a car door and a movable car door coupling attached to the car and arranged to control operation of the car door. A mounting bracket is attached to the car, a first blade is attached to the mounting bracket, a second blade is attached to the mounting bracket, and a deterrent is attached to the mounting bracket. The first and second blades are operable a landing door coupling to operate the car door. A portion of the movable car door coupling is arranged to contact a ceiling of an elevator shaft during an overrun event when and move a part of the movable car door coupling relative to the car, and when the portion is not in contact with the ceiling, a biasing element urges the portion toward a normal position.

  • Patent number: 10252889
Abstract: A method for installing an elevator drive machine in a machine room-less elevator system is provided. A drive machine assembly is fastened to a counterweight. The counterweight is then lifted vertically along a set of counterweight guide rails to the top of the hoistway. There, the drive machine assembly is mounted to the ends of the counterweight guide rails. Once in place, the drive machine assembly is then disconnected from the counterweight.

  • Publication number: 20180222720
Abstract: An elevator guide rail assembly (22) includes a guide rail (28) extending along a centerline (30) and an elevator shoe arrangement (24) configured to axially slide along the guide rail (28). The elevator shoe arrangement (24) may include a bracket (32) having a first tab (36A, 36B) removably located in a slot (68) in the first shoe (34A, 34B). The tab (36A, 36B) and the first shoe (34A, 34B) may be configured such that the shoe (34A, 34B) may be removed from the tab (36A, 36B) without having to remove the guide rail (28) and/or dislocate the bracket (32).

  • Patent number: 9150384
Abstract: An elevator system comprises a hoistway (4), an elevator car (2) arranged to move vertically within the hoistway and a drive machine (10) arranged in the hoistway outside the travel path of the car (2) or vertical projection thereof. The car (2) is coupled to the machine (10) by a rope (18) which is guided by a pair of idler sheaves (26, 28) so as to pass under the car (2). The idler sheaves (26, 28) have a diameter of less than 120 mm. The disclosed arrangement allows both overhead space and pit depth to be minimised.

  • Patent number: 8526195
Abstract: The disclosure concerns an electrical connection assembly comprising: a conductive plate with a drillhole, a first column with a hole passing axially through it and comprising a shoulder to abut against one of the faces of the conductive plate, and a second column with a hole passing axially through it and comprising a shoulder to abut against the other face of the conductive plate, a first cylinder with a radius sized to enable it to enter the hole in the first column and a length sized such that, when the shoulder is in abutment, the free end of the first cylinder projects beyond the conductive plate, and a second cylinder with a radius sized to enable it to enter the drillhole, wherein the free end of the first cylinder is crimped by radial expansion and then by axial compression in the hole in the first column.

  • Patent number: 7387192
Abstract: The counterweight according to the invention for an elevator with a frame (1) comprising two vertical U-shaped posts (3) parallel and opposed to each other and connected to each other by at least one upper cross-beam (5) and one lower cross-beam (7), wherein the wings of the vertical posts accommodate flat ballast weights forming a mass and piled up on each other in the frame (1), is characterized in that the upper ballast weights (11?a, 11?b), at least those located at a higher height than that of the conventional tilted assembly of the lower one-piece ballast weights (11?), comprise at least two parts interlocked with each other so that they can be successively assembled by interlocking them in a plane and in rows between the two posts (3), said interlocking providing a good lateral stiffness to avoid the lateral escape of said two interlocked ballast weight parts (11?a and 11?b) out of said frame (1) during counterweight displacement.
