  • Patent number: 7316411
Abstract: A board for gliding over snow, more particularly for children, includes a structure made of just one homogeneous material of an injected thermoplastic polymer, two metal side edges with wings, bordering the bottom surface forming the gliding surface. The structure includes a top surface and a bottom surface forming a gliding surface, and defines a hollow volume. The wings of the metal side edges are embedded in the homogeneous material of an injected thermoplastic polymer material of the structure.

  • Ski
    Patent number: 7083183
Abstract: A short ski (1) having a length LT of less than 110 cm, in particular for skiing by children, having a reduced-thickness region (3) in its central zone (2), which is bounded at the front and the rear by maximum-thickness regions (4, 5) each capable of holding the elements (6, 7) of a safety binding, said ski having an overall flexibility (SG), that is to say a flexure under deformation by a force F of 20 decanewtons applied to the upper surface of the ski midway between the two supporting points respectively lying level with the front contact line (LCFR) and rear contact line (LCRE), which is between: L p 3 H max 2 × 10 - 5 ? ? and ? ? L p 3 H max 2 × 2.10 - 5 expressed in millimeters, where Lp is the bearing length as defined between the front and rear contact lines and Hmax is the maximum thickness of the ski, both expressed in millimeters.

  • Publication number: 20050161909
Abstract: A board for gliding over snow, more particularly for children, comprises a running surface forming a bottom-surface element (6) bordered by two metal side edges (8) with wings (18), a top surface (7) and a core (13) defined between the running surface (6) and the top surface (7), produced by injection of a thermoplastic polymer material, said core (13) having a hollow volume (14). The running surface forming the bottom-surface element (6) is produced with the polymer material of the core (13). The wings (18) of the metal side edges (8) are embedded in said polymer material of the core (13) and of the running surface forming the bottom-surface element (6).

  • Patent number: 6478917
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for manufacturing a ski, or like board for gliding over snow, which comprises, on the surface, embedded elements constituted by elements of additional protecting and decorative layers, these elements being flush with the surface of the ski. According to the invention, the protecting and decorative sheet is laid flat, before being placed in the mould, and the thin elements to be embedded are added thereon by bonding. The assembly of the ski elements is then moulded conventionally, with the result that the inner, uniformly smooth surface of the lid of the mould presses on the additional elements and consequently embeds them in the protecting and decorative sheet.
