The first display controller displays preview of the data elements on a first display unit. A data element selected from the preview is transmitted to an information processing apparatus via a network. The information processing apparatus displays the data element as a symbol at a predetermined position on a second display unit. The second display unit displays an application window. When the second display unit receives input to select the symbol and place it on the application window, the data element is entered into a corresponding application and the symbol is displayed on the application window.
