  • Publication number: 20230393090
Abstract: There is provided a gas sensing apparatus (30) for sensing one or more analytes in a gas or gas mixture. The gas sensing apparatus (30) comprises: a plurality of sensors (32), each sensor (32) including a polymer layer (42), each polymer layer (42) made of a respective different type of chemically non-selective or semi-selective polymer; and a measurement device (38) configured to measure a change in parameter of each sensor (32) responsive to interaction of an analyte with the respective polymer layer (42).

  • Publication number: 20230025535
Abstract: A thin film liquid cell suitable for transmission electron microscopy at room temperature is fabricated as follows. A thin film floating on a liquid is prepared. A droplet of the liquid with the thin film floating thereon is transferred to a support by means of a loop. The loop carries the droplet and the droplet carries the thin film during this transfer. Sufficient liquid from the droplet on the support is removed to form the thin film liquid cell.

  • Publication number: 20160060124
Abstract: A highly crystalline graphene and the coating of said graphene with a layer. Said graphene may have further structures, such as nanopores, nanogaps, and nanoribbons. The coated graphene can be used for biomolecular analysis and modification, such as DNA-sequencing, as a sensor, etc.

  • Patent number: 6588391
Abstract: A device for rotating a valve for producing rotations of a gas charging valve in an internal combustion engine during its opening and closing movements. The device has a basic body having a plurality of pockets oriented in a peripheral direction for receiving rolling bodies. There is also a valve shaft disposed in the basic body. In addition, there is also a plurality of rolling bodies and a plurality of tangential springs for holding the plurality of rolling bodies adjacent to the plurality of pockets on the basic body. Finally, there is a cover serving as a valve spring support and force transmitter or energy reservoir for each of the valve rotations, wherein the basic body and the cover consist of reshaped metal components. This design allows for a simple construction process resulting in lower manufacture costs.
