    Abstract: A rolling bearing device that can be mounted around a shaft of a rotary electric machine of axis X, and axially above a rotor assembly. The rolling bearing device includes a rolling bearing having an inner race and an outer race that are centred on the axis; a target holder which is fixed to the inner race and extends radially with respect to the axis beyond the outer race, and in a base extended by an axial lip, a target which is secured to the target holder and is able to cooperate with a detection means for tracking the rotation of the race about the axis. The base of the target holder includes at least one axially protruding tab designed to axially deform when the base bears against the rotor assembly once the rolling bearing has been mounted on the shaft.
