  • Patent number: 11331494
Abstract: A local stimulation method of a predetermined region of brain tissue, the brain tissue including at least GABAergic neuron type. The method includes at least one activation step of a set of bipolar electrodes, according to a predetermined electric intensity and a predetermined biphasic pulse frequency, delivering a predetermined electric field. The predetermined electric field induces an activation of the GABAergic type neurons and a virtual absence of activation of other types of neurons.

  • Publication number: 20210030351
Abstract: A method of constructing a value representative of a local epileptogenic network index (LENI). The method is implemented by an electronic device that includes a processor and a memory. The method includes: obtaining, in the form of connectivity matrices, dynamic functional networks, which are representative of electrical signals measured for a predetermined number of points of interest, called nodes, within a cerebral cortex during a given time period; grouping the nodes, as a function of topological properties of said networks, within groups of nodes called modules; and calculating the local epileptogenic network index (LEND as a function of local functional connectivity characteristics of said nodes, modules and networks.

  • Publication number: 20200352463
Abstract: A method of constructing a value representative of an interaction between a plurality of brain regions. The method is implemented by an electronic device, which includes a processor and a memory. The method includes: obtaining, in the form of connectivity matrices, dynamic functional networks, which are representative of electrical signals measured for a predetermined number of points of interest, called nodes, within a cerebral cortex during a given time period; determining, from at least one of said connectivity matrices, a global efficiency score and at least one clustering coefficient score for each node of said at least one of said connectivity matrices; and calculating a value representative of an interaction between the plurality of brain networks in the form of a distribution ratio using said global efficiency score and said clustering coefficient scores.

  • Patent number: 10588535
Abstract: A method for determining a sequence of activation of a set of brain networks by an electronic device in the course of a predetermined cognitive task. The method includes: obtaining at least one time series of data on encephalographic activities, according to a predetermined sampling value, the data on activities representing a signal captured on the cranial surface by a capture device, during the execution of the predetermined cognitive task by at least one individual, delivering a set having at least one measurements vector per sample of the time series; for each measurements vector, determining connectivity between cortical sources, the cortical sources being obtained through measurements of a measurements vector, delivering a connectivity network; and grouping connectivity networks according to a resemblance parameter delivering a set of groups of grouped connectivity networks, each representing an activity of a given brain network at a given instant.

  • Publication number: 20190374154
Abstract: A method for determining a piece of data representing a cerebral marker. The piece of data is obtained from at least one brain network involved in performance of a given task. The is implemented by an electronic device and includes: obtaining data on encephalographic activities; processing the data on encephalographic activities, delivering at least one functional connectivity matrix representing connectivity between cortical sources derived from the data on encephalographic activities, each coefficient of the matrix representing connectivity between two cortical sources; statistical analysis of the at least one functional connectivity matrix delivering a probabilistic matrix of presence of at least one brain network; characterizing the at least one brain network on the basis of the at least one functional connectivity matrix and of the statistical analysis, delivering at least one brain network matrix; and obtaining a cerebral marker as a function of the at least one brain network matrix.

  • Publication number: 20090093964
Abstract: A method is provided for identifying multidimensional parameters of a plurality of P>1 sources of interest present in a predetermined multidimensional conductive environment by a plurality of observations (60) in a finite number of N?1. The method includes using i) a factorisation of a problem matrix formulation, ii) the creation of a virtual network of the order 2q (q>1) sensors by using cumulants of order 2q from observations and iii) the concept of an extended deflation of order 2q taking into consideration the presence of potentially (but not entirely) correlated sources. The method and device can be used for electroencephalograpy, magnetoencephalography, geophysics and seismology.
