  • Publication number: 20090302510
Abstract: The method comprises the following sequence of stages of operation: feeding the blowing air into the parison enclosed in the mould (1), with the maximum pressure characteristics required for the blow moulding thermoforming cycle, and maintaining this blowing condition for a minimum period depending on the characteristics of the container to be produced; reducing the blowing air pressure to a specified minimum level sufficient to keep the blown container adhering to the inner walls of the mould (1) which contains and shapes it; discharging the blowing air at low pressure from the inside of the blown container, in such a way that the inner surface of the container is bathed by a flow of air which is constantly renewed at the appropriate flow rate, which rapidly reduces the internal temperature of the container, while the external temperature of the container is reduced by contact with the walls of the mould (1) which are cooled by the forced circulation of a cooling fluid; interrupting the blowing cycle and the

  • Publication number: 20090280206
Abstract: The invention describes a machine typically comprising two or four carriages with associated mould/counter-mould (S1, S2) units movable along perpendicular axes, with one mould and counter-mould unit which cyclically is loaded with parisons and is displaced for the container blow-moulding operation, while the other mould and counter-mould unit is prepared for unloading the containers formed during the previous cycle and then insertion into the parison supply station. Each mould/counter-mould unit has, associated with it, a blowing station which follows the unit during the displacement on the associated primary carriage (3), but not during the movement on the secondary carriages (10) for insertion into and extraction from the station with the extrusion head.

  • Publication number: 20090162466
Abstract: Electrically operated actuator for modifying the thickness of the parisons during extrusion, by means of the usual means which modify the internal cross-section of the discharge mouths of the extrusion head and which are connected to a common cross-member (7) which may be guided by suitable means (107, 8) during the vertical movements, characterized in that the said cross-member is raised and lowered by means of mechanical systems which comprise at least connecting rods and cranks and which are actuated by a speed reducer (9) with limited play, which is fixed onto a support structure (102) positioned above the said cross-member (7) and moved by an electric motor (109) of suitable power, rotating in both directions and with electronic speed and phase control, for example a motor of the brushless type.

  • Patent number: 6579082
Abstract: The internal depressurization of thermoformed containers (C) is performed by means of the secondary suction circuit of a Venturi meter or ejector (15), the primary circuit of which is passed through by compressed air at pressure values regulated by a proportional valve (19) controlled by an electronic control unit (10) which detects the internal pressure or vacuum of the containers by means of a transducer (9) which is programmed by means of a special apparatus (11) and which, upon reaching of the predetermined vacuum inside the containers, activates means (Z) for closing the end portion of the said thermoformed containers.

  • Patent number: 6205743
Abstract: The parisons (P) manufactured by an extrusion group (1,1″) are gripped between the mould and the counter-mould (S,S′) mounted, together with the associated actuating mechanisms, on a carriage (19) which, after receiving the parisons, moves into a blowing station (Z1) for the formation of the bottles which then remain suspended from the nozzles of this station. By means of a set of three self-centring closing and opening grippers (P1, P2, P3), the groups of bottles are then transferred from the said blowing station to a sprue-removal and mouth-calibrating station (Z2), to a quality control station (Z3) and then to a filling station (Z4). By means of a fourth self-centring gripper (P4) with an independent movement the filled bottles are finally transferred into an end capping station (Z5). A conveyor (59) which collects together and removes all the production waste is provided underneath the various work stations which are aligned with each other.
