  • Patent number: 7267296
Abstract: A method and apparatus for winding multi-pole stators formed by a sheets stack ferromagnetic core, having a plurality of radially extending poles defining grooves between them. Said wireis wound about said pole extensions, spooled by a flier, and guided by shrouds, which move radially with respect to said stator overlapping the respective pole extension. The shroud) is equipped with a housing suitable for receiving said hook, so that said shroud) makes a guide for said wire on said hook. Said flier is rotated about its own axis in order to deposit said wire onto said hook. Then said shroud is withdrawn up to disengaging said hook from said housing. In case said wire must form a loop or “alpha” about said hook, after withdrawal of said shroud, said hook is shielded by means of a shield in order to force said wire in a chosen position and to slide on said shield during a backwards movement of said flier.

  • Patent number: 6564444
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically inserting insulating material into the slots of armatures of electric motors generally includes means for feeding a continuous web of insulating material beyond a cutting device, cutting the insulative material at a predetermined length, bending the insulative material to comport with the shape of an armature slot, inserting the insulative material into the slot, and indexing the armature for further insertion of insulative materials. The apparatus further comprises electronically programmable device for automatically determining and communicating the length of the insulative material to be cut based on the dimensions of the armature, automatically feeding, cutting, bending, and inserting the insulative material into the armature slot, and automatically indexing the armature for the insertion of additional insulative materials.

  • Patent number: 5984085
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for the automatic adjustment of the distance between the holding members (2) of a pallet (3) connected to a fastening bar (12) and which allow a movement in a transverse plane with respect to the fastening bar between a first auto-locking position on the fastening bar and a second position of free movement. An apparatus for gripping (11) the holding members (12), an apparatus for moving (10) the gripping apparatus (11) from the first to the second position and an apparatus for translating (17) the apparatus for moving (10) parallelly to the fastening bar (12) are provided for. The adjustment method comprises the steps of: controlling the actual location of said arms with respect to said fastening bar in comparison with a stored location and change of the location of said arms only when said locations are different from each other.

  • Patent number: 5799912
Abstract: A pallet for automatic production lines, comprising a base (1) on which a guide (5) is mounted on which support arms are engaged for a workpiece (16). The arms (13) allow a movement on a transverse plane with respect to the axis of guide (5) between a first and a second position, in particular a rotation movement. In the first position, the arms are able to either translate along the guide or be moved away from it in a transverse direction, in the second position the support arms auto-lock onto the guide through resilient means (21). The pallet has therefore variable distance support arms which are able to auto-lock onto the guide and are easy to be unclamped by it without requiring neither separate locking/unlocking devices, nor, consequently, regulation means able to interact with said devices. The pallet can be adjusted with no modifications to operate both on a line with a station of automatic regulation and on a line with a station of manual regulation.
