    Abstract: A system and a method for establishing a communication between a person wishing to access a controlled access building or area, and an addressee of that building or area. An URL address made accessible to the person is read using a multimedia electronic device connected through the Internet with a remote server having a web page corresponding to the URL address, and to a database with telephone numbers of one or more addressees. The numbers are displayed on the multimedia electronic device and, once the desired number is selected, the server establishes a telephone call between the person and the number selected of a second multimedia electronic device possessed by the addressee. The addressee called verifies the identity of the person and sends a release code which allows the opening of a gate or entrance door of the building or area.
