  • Publication number: 20240357714
Abstract: Protection assembly (10) for preventing overheating of induction hobs (1) comprising at least one inductor (4) located underneath a cooking area (6) of the hobs (1). the assembly (10) comprising at least one electric power supplier (8) for the electrically powering the at least one inductor (4) and a control unit (11) connected to the at least one power supplier (8). The control unit (11) is configured to determine at least one value (V) of the intensity gradient of the current over time which supplies the at least one inductor (4). to compare the value (V) of the current intensity gradient over time with a threshold value (VSET) of the current intensity gradient over time and to interrupt or reduce the electric power supply to the at least one inductor (4) if the value (V) of the current intensity gradient is lower than the threshold value (VSET).

  • Patent number: 5678724
Abstract: A getter material is provided which efficiently sorbs gases at low pressures but, when a system failure causes high pressures of hydrogen and oxygen (air) to be present, does not increase its temperature to that which would cause explosive ignition of the hydrogen-oxygen (air) mixture.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 2, 1995
Date of Patent: October 21, 1997
    Assignee: Saes Getters, S.p.A.

  • Patent number: 5343735
Abstract: An apparatus for accurately measuring the water content of a moist gas containing less than 50 parts per million (ppm) of water comprises an isothermal heat-sink (14), a radiator (20), a Peltier heater-cooler (24) thermally arranged between the isothermal heat-sink (14) and the radiator (20). The heater-cooler (24) is transferring heat from the isothermal heat-sink (14) to the radiator (20) and vice versa. A phosphoric acid moisture cell (32) is in thermal contact with the isothermal heat-sink (14). Upon passing the moist gas through the cell (32) the amount of moisture in the moist gas is measured as variation of electrical current throughout the cell.

  • Patent number: 5150604
Abstract: The present invention provides a process, and an apparatus for accomplishing that process, for indicating when an inert gas purifier is about to loose its required level of purification efficiency. The inert gas purifier can therefore be replaced before the impurity levels of its purified output gas reach undesirably high values.

  • Patent number: 4951652
Abstract: A window for a domestic oven having a reduced thermal transmission so that the external glass surface, which can be touched, is maintained at an acceptable temperature. Between the walls of the window there is an evacuated space. Preferably at least the internal surface of the outer wall is coated with a transparent layer of reflecting material. A non-evaporable getter material is contained within the evacuated space.

  • Patent number: 4898147
Abstract: A window for a domestic oven is described which has a reduced thermal transmission so that the outer glass surface, which can be toughed, is maintained at an acceptable temperature. Between the surface of an outer glass sheet and an inner glass sheet of the window there is a rare gas filled enclosed volume. Preferably at least the inner facing surface of the outer glass sheet is coated with a transparent layer of reflecting material. A non-evaporable getter material is contained within said enclosed volume.

  • Patent number: 4743167
Abstract: A device is described for the sorption of hydrogen isotopes at low pressures, their storage and their subsequent release at high pressures. Use is made of a getter material having linear sorption isotherms and a compressor material having non-linear sorption isotherms.
