Patent number: 10241784Abstract: Support for dynamic behavior is specified while reducing reliance on JIT compilation and large runtimes; semantic characteristics are selectively attached to types and type members outside source code. A directives document contains human-readable directives in a parsable format for submission to an innovative compiler. The directives specify whether a type T or type member M is required, optional, or prohibited in a runtime environment. Some reference an application, library, assembly, or namespace group, and others reference group components: type, type instantiation, method, method instantiation, field, property, or event. Some directives force a generic instantiation. Some directives indirectly reference a type through a parameter, type parameter, or generic directive. Some directives reference degrees to manage runtime activation of type instances, runtime introspection over types, reflection, and/or runtime or static serialization.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2017Date of Patent: March 26, 2019Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: John Lawrence Hamby, David Charles Wrighton, Michal Strehovsky, Morgan Asher Brown, Fadi Hanna, Turgut Isik, Mircea Trofin, Fatma Didem Gokbulut, Robert Yung-Yi Fu

Patent number: 9584877Abstract: One or more identifiers that facilitate efficient native image validation can be generated and stored in an auxiliary file upon pre-compiling of an assembly. The native image can be validated against an assembly from which the native image is generated, among other files that influence the generated contents of the native image, based upon the auxiliary file and included identifiers. Additionally, native image validation can be performed in an increasing cost sequence associated with each identifier included within the auxiliary file.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2011Date of Patent: February 28, 2017Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Pracheeti Nagarkar, Michael Rayhelson, Atsushi Kanamori, Fadi Hanna, Surupa Biswas, Jan Kotas

Publication number: 20150108135Abstract: The disposable components for a spray gun include a thin, flaccid cup liner, a sleeve that installs between the upper portion of the liner and the upper portion of the cup, and a lid. The liner, sleeve, and lid include cooperating fittings for locking these components together to assure that the assembly remains sealed. A locking pin is also provided, which is installed through the rim of the lid and the rim of the liner to prevent the inadvertent disassembly of the liner and cup from the lid. A cap is also provided to seal the opening in the top of the lid when the cup and lid assembly has been removed from the spray gun. This stores any remaining paint or other liquid in the sealed cup, liner, and lid assembly in a liquid state for later use.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2013Publication date: April 23, 2015Inventors: FADI HANNA, HENIN HANNA
