  • Publication number: 20090269144
Abstract: The present invention describes an extraction system (100,100a) for expediting removal of a footing (105) that is embedded in a seabed or marine floor. The extraction system provides a supply of pressurized fluid (140) to a chamber from where the pressurized fluid exudes through porous members (122,122a, etc) located on the base (114) of the footing (105). When an uplifting force is applied to the footing (105) for its removal, the pressurized fluid (140) exudes out through the porous member (122,122a, etc.) to compensate or reduce suction induced beneath the footing, without fluidizing or channeling of the seabed soil, thereby expediting removal of the footing (105).

  • Publication number: 20090013583
Abstract: A device for simulating and/or attracting aquatic life forms is disclosed. The device includes an electromagnetic module for simultaneously generating alternating or pulsed electromagnetic fields and a pulsed light output from a light emitting diode. The electromagnetic module includes a dry battery that is activated when exposed electrodes of the dry battery are placed in contact with a common electrolyte, such as sea water. The electromagnetic module includes a control circuit with one or more application specific integrated circuits for converting an input voltage from the dry battery to an operating voltage sufficient to power the light emitting diode. In further embodiments of the invention, the device includes one or more removable jackets that resemble aquatic life-forms.

  • Publication number: 20080266080
Abstract: A wireless system for controlling electrical circuits within a building is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of monitor devices coupled to load circuits and configured to control the load circuits. The system also includes a master control device configured to remotely communicate with the monitor devices. The system is configured to manually or remotely control the load circuits based on input commands input from the monitor device or the master control device and/or media data captured or acquired from the monitor devices and/or the master control device. Preferably, the monitor devices includes an image capture unit and transmit images to the master control device. The monitor devices also preferably include a motion sensor for detecting motion in locations corresponding the monitor devices and controlling the load circuits based on the motion detected. The system operates as a lighting control system and a security system.
