Abstract: Various embodiments provide novel tools and techniques for a threat mapping engine. A system includes a vertex discovery harvester subsystem, an edge extractor subsystem, a vertex correlator subsystem, and a recursive graph builder subsystem. The recursive graph builder subsystem includes a processor, and a computer readable medium in communication with the processor, the computer readable medium having encoded thereon a set of instructions executable by the processor to generate a map of one or more connections from the first known vertex to at least one related vertex of the one or more vertices via at least one edge, based on the one or more vertex correlations, determine a threat score indicative of a threat posed by at least one related vertex of the map, and generate a threat graph based on the map and the threat score of the at least one related vertex layered over the map.

  • Patent number: 11821306
Abstract: Downhole telemetry systems and related methods adaptively compensate for channel non-linearity effects. To compensate for channel non-linearity, the optimum signal generation parameters are determined that produce the desired modulated pressure variation at the surface. The signal generation parameters are optimized to minimize the discrepancy between the surface detected pressure signal and the intended signal. The mud propagation channel is first estimated in light of the known modulation scheme under an ideal linear-time-invariant channel assumption. The estimated channel is used to synthesize the modulated pressure signal undergoing the mud propagation given the initial signal generation parameters. The method then varies the synthesized signal generation parameters to search for the optimal signal generation parameters. The optimal signal generation parameters are then sent over downlink channel to the downhole pulser, which is ultimately used to generate the pulse waveform.

  • Publication number: 20200066052
Abstract: A system and a method for superimposing a garment onto an image or a real-time video of a user are disclosed. After a person captures an image or video of them self and after the person selects a garment that they wish to see them self virtually wearing, instructions executed by a processor may be used to overlay an image of the selected garment onto the image or video of the person. Images or a real-time video of the person may be captured from a reflection of the person in a mirror after which a computing device may generate a combined image of the person that depicts that person wearing a selected garment. Images of the garment overlaid over the captured images or video may show a user how the garment looks on their body from different angles or perspectives when they cannot physically touch the garment.

  • Patent number: 10324826
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques might provide for implementing application programming interface (“API”) use compliance, and, in some cases, by implementing application auditing for API use compliance within virtual environments in which target APIs are executed. In some embodiments, a method might comprise identifying misuse of an application programming interface (“API”) that is used in a developer channel, by intercepting data streams between the API and one or more computing systems, parsing the intercepted data streams, and determining whether the API is use non-compliant, based at least in part on identifying use non-compliant characteristics in the parsed data streams.

  • Patent number: 10051936
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing item or luggage loss prevention, which, in some cases, is based on weight measurement. In some embodiments, a device with a processor can be placed under a bag's handle, within an interior compartment of the bag, below or in the feet or wheels of the bag, and/or the like. The device can allow a user to lock in a weight of the bag. If any item is subsequently removed from (and not returned to) the bag, the device will notify the user, using one or more of audio notification, visual notification, and/or mobile device notification (e.g., via e-mail, text message, SMS, MMS, chat message, and/or the like) that the weight of the bag has changed. In some cases, location detection devices may be implemented to allow the user to backtrack where the missing item might have been left behind.

  • Patent number: 9396237
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques for monitoring software applications, and in particular software applications available from app stores, for apps that might infringe the intellectual property of others. Merely by way of example, a tool might identify an application in an app store, download that application, and analyze that application for content that might be infringing. Such analysis can include, but is not limited to, decompiling the application. Meta-content about the application (including portions of the content) can be compared with meta-content about other applications, to identify associations between applications. In other cases, the meta-content can be used to identify acts of intellectual property infringement.

  • Publication number: 20130047790
Abstract: Screwdriver apparatus for screwing-in, or unscrewing, two or more screws simultaneously. Gear linkage is provided to cause appropriate rotation of a plurality of appropriately-supported parallel shafts to simultaneously rotate and operate upon screws, such as two screws holding a line card in a router or switch within a telecommunications system. The distance between the parallel shafts is adjustable and under control of the user of the screwdriver. Any kind of screwdriver blade, such as Phillips, flat, etc., can be attached at the ends of the parallel shafts, and the blades need not match each other for any given usage. Rotational power for the screwdriver can be supplied by a human user or by a machine. Use of this tool facilitates adding or removing the aforementioned line cards, and saves technician time. Application of this tool is not limited to line cards.

  • Patent number: 8213926
Abstract: An approach is provided for a multiservice tester. A connection over an access link providing a customer premise with connectivity to a plurality of telecommunication services provided over a data network is established at a test device. Testing the plurality of telecommunication services is initiated by either physically connecting to one or more end devices or invoking an emulation application for emulating the one or more end devices. The plurality of telecommunication services are verified based on performance of the connection. A secure connection may be established with a provisioning system maintained by a service provider of the plurality of telecommunication services, wherein the secure connection may be established via the access link or via one or more wireless network access links. The provisioning system may facilitate verification of the plurality of telecommunication services and/or troubleshooting the plurality of telecommunication services.

  • Patent number: 7346605
Abstract: A system for searching and reporting an incidence of at least one trademark, tradename, celebrity name, and/or famous name on the Internet, which includes a computer system having a connection to the Internet, and a software program executing on the computer system. The software program is adapted to receive an input of at least one trademark, tradename, celebrity name, and famous name to be searched. The software program then creates a search string including at least one trademark, tradename, celebrity name, and famous name. The software program also receives a URL address of a Web page on the Internet to be searched. The software program accesses and searches the Web page for hits corresponding to the search string, and then provides the search results of identified hits within the Web page.
