Abstract: A method for providing directory assistance includes receiving a communication from a requester for a business listing and retrieving at least one first listing in response. At least one signal indicative of the status of the listing retrieved is received, and if negative, such status is conveyed to the requester. A second option is then offered to the requester, where the second option offered to the requester is for a second listing related to a same category of business as the first listing.

Abstract: A personalized assistance system for a user of a mobile device including a first database having a digital file library associated with the user, where the digital file library includes at least one digital file supplied to the first database by the user. An identification code uniquely associated with the mobile device is transmitted to the personalized assistance system, when the user calls the system. A customer service representative terminal is coupled to the database, where the identification code prompts automatic retrieval of at least a portion of the digital file library to the customer service representative terminal in response to processing of the identification code, the customer service representative terminal searching the digital file library in response to a user query to locate a designated digital file from the user's digital file library and causing the delivery of the digital file to a desired destination indicated by the user.

Abstract: A method for enhanced commercial activities to a mobile device user includes providing a user with an application for use on a mobile wireless device and receiving an incoming communication from the wireless device via the application at an enhanced services platform of a directory assistance center. Stored account information, associated with the user is retrieved and a coded information is received from the wireless device, where the coded information is generated by the application based on input uploaded onto the wireless device by the user obtained from any one of the group selected from a product advertisement, a product price tag and digital image of a product. The coded information is parsed at the enhanced services platform, options are retrieved related to a product corresponding to the coded information and the user is provided with options relating to the product.

Abstract: A system for providing search results having a portal for receiving search requests and a means for obtaining prior search results from telephonic directory assistance requests. A trend module analyzes the obtained prior search results from telephonic directory assistance requests; where results provided to a user in response to the search request received at the portal are affected by the prior search results from telephonic directory assistance requests.

Abstract: An enhanced services platform said platform includes an interface for receiving a communication from a user requesting a desired data. A response module parses the communication and retries the desired data. The platform arranges the desired data into a response message that is sent to the user. A user identifier database module stores information about the users in a user profile that including at least a preferences field and a preference value field identifying relative values of user preferences stored in the preference field, wherein when a preference having a higher ranking in the preference value field is non available, a second preference having a lower ranking in the preference value field is utilized.

Abstract: A directory assistance system includes a plurality of call centers, each configured to handle a directory assistance request from a caller. An ICM/IVR edge queuing module has a first IVR module and second ICM module and is coupled to each of the call centers. The ICM/IVR edge queuing module receives an incoming call from a caller and obtains interactive responses pertinent to call center routing. The ICM module routes the call to one call center among the plurality of call centers based on a type of service requested by the caller as determined by the interactive responses received by the IVR module.

Abstract: A platform for providing mobile services maintains a network module for communicating with at least one mobile network and an MVNO module for communication with at least two MVNO service providers. When a user contacts the platform and receives mobile services including MVNO services from at least two different MVNO service providers, the platform is configured to store a profile generated by the user for storing events where the occurrence of the event causes the platform to switch the user's MVNO service provider from a first MVNO service provider to a second MVNO service provider.

Abstract: A system for managing wireless internet access. The system includes an interface for receiving incoming requests for wireless internet access from a plurality of subscribers. The subscribers submit requests from a wireless access provider having a plurality of geographic locations at least one request coming from one location and at least a second request coming from a different location. An authentication module authenticates account information from the subscriber. A session manager monitors each of the wireless internet access sessions of each of the subscribers. A data collection and storage module stores said session information. A mediation module supplies usage reports to the wireless access provider based on the session information from each of the subscribers at each of the plurality of locations.

Abstract: A method for facilitating VoIP communication between VoIP providers. First and second VoIP service providers are registered with a VoIP communication system, which generates a table of registered VoIP subscribers from the first and second VoIP service providers. The information from the table is applied to a call generated from a subscriber on the first VoIP service provider, such that if the desired party is a subscriber to the second VoIP service provider as noted in the table, the call generated from the subscriber on the first VoIP service provider is sent to the desired party as a packet switched call.

Abstract: A system for facilitating communications with an automated response system includes a database for storing an address book entry. The address book entry includes a location name and contact number for a location that employs an automated response platform that does not accept voice commands. The address book entry also includes at least one stored voice command related to a navigation command of the automated response platform and one stored associated assigned keystroke for the command. A voice response signal digital signal processor receives a voice input from a user corresponding to the stored voice command. A telephonic signal generator is included, such that when the user utters the voice input corresponding to the stored voice command, the system recalls the stored associated assigned keystroke and delivers a signal corresponding to the keystroke as a telephonic signal to the automated response platform.

Abstract: A method for determining the location of a VoIP caller includes receiving an emergency call from a VoIP phone from the internet via a VoIP enabling device. A device identifier of the VoIP enabling device through which the call from the VoIP device originated is received. The device identifier is compared against a pre-defined table of device identifiers, where each device identifier in the table has an associated physical location. The physical location of the VoIP enabling device is returned during the call from the VoIP phone.

Abstract: An enhanced services platform has an interface for receiving a communication from a user requesting a desired data. An automated response module parses the communication and retrieves the desired data. The enhanced services platform arranges the desired data into a response message that is sent to the user, where the response message includes an embedded code corresponding to a link allowing the user to re-contact the enhanced services platform. An operator assistance module receives communications from the user initiated via the link to provide further assistance regarding the user's request.

Abstract: An ENUM services system includes a server module configured to support an ENUM account for a subscriber. The ENUM account has a single incoming contact number for the subscriber and one or more preferred outbound contact addresses, such that when a caller calls the single incoming contact number the call is connected to the subscriber on one or more preferred outbound contact addresses. A supplemental ENUM services platform is coupled to the server module to allow the subscriber of the ENUM account to map additional internet ready devices to the ENUM account, so that the subscriber may contact the system using the ENUM account to remotely control the additional internet ready devices.

Abstract: An enhanced directory assistance system includes a database for storing at least one subscriber emergency profile. The subscriber emergency profile has one or more instructions to be carried out in the case of an emergency and also has an identifier for identifying a mobile device of a corresponding subscriber. An operator terminal receives an incoming communication from one or more callers from the mobile device of the subscriber, such that when the communication is received, the operator terminal recalls the subscriber emergency profile and carries out the one or more instructions.

Abstract: A method for sending a targeted advertising campaign to a plurality of mobile phone devices, comprises the step of receiving geographic information relating to geographic location of mobile phone devices, wherein the information is collected from a plurality of corresponding mobile service providers. The method includes the step of maintaining a subscriber database that contains contact information relating to a plurality of subscribers. The system interacts with an advertiser so as to receive advertising content intended for targeted mobile phone devices. Furthermore, the system communicates the advertising content to the targeted mobile phone devices that are located within a specified distance from a location specified by the advertiser.
