Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for detecting and identifying anomalies within a discrete wavelet database. In one implementation, the system may include one or more memories storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions. The instructions may include instructions to receive a new wavelet, convert the net transaction to a wavelet, convert the wavelet to a tensor using an exponential smoothing average, calculate a difference field between the tensor and a field having one or more previous transactions represented as tensors, perform a weighted summation of the difference field to produce a difference vector, apply one or more models to the difference vector to determine a likelihood of the new wavelet representing an anomaly, and add the new wavelet to the field when the likelihood is below a threshold.

Abstract: The invention provides genetically modified non-human animals that express chimeric human/non-human MHC I polypeptide and/or human or humanized ?2 microglobulin polypeptide, as well as embryos, cells, and tissues comprising the same. Also provided are constructs for making said genetically modified animals and methods of making the same. Methods of using the genetically modified animals to study various aspects of human immune system are provided.

Abstract: A portable consumer device that is used to conduct a transaction at a merchant is authenticated. Information provided to a server computer includes locations of a merchant and a mobile communication device possessed by a consumer. If the location of the mobile communication device corresponds to the location of the merchant, the portable consumer device that is used to conduct the transaction is authenticated.

Abstract: A method for authenticating a consumer for a portable consumer device is disclosed. One embodiment of the invention includes receiving a transaction message relating to a request by a consumer to conduct a transaction using a portable consumer device, wherein the consumer was previously enrolled in an authentication program and the consumer was previously authenticated, analyzing the transaction message to determine if a re-authentication event has taken place, causing a re-authentication message to be sent to the consumer before initiating an authorization request message to the issuer if the re-authentication event has taken place, and initiating the authorization request message to the issuer without sending the re-authentication message to the consumer if the re-authentication event has not taken place.

Abstract: Provided is a computer-implemented process for determining offers for a geofenced geographic area. After a mobile user device traverses a geofence, merchants associated with a geofence having a geofence identifier are identified. Candidate offers associated with the merchants are identified and ranked according to ranking criteria. The ranked candidate offers are transmitted to a mobile user device. The ranked candidate offers are cached on the mobile user device and presented to the user via an offers notification. The user may view and redeem an offer by selecting the offers notification.

Abstract: Short Tandem Repeats are currently used by law enforcement and others, for example, for the identification of individuals by DNA matching. A method is described herein that uses WPD to classify and identify repeating sequences in nucleotide sequences from the position and frequency information contained within nucleotide sequences. This decomposition allows for the quick classification of nucleotide sequences (i.e., reads) into two different classes, including, for example, one class that contains sequencer reads that contain a repeat motif with non-repeat sequence on either flank, and another class that contains sequencer reads that do not contain any repeat sequence.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for using cache size estimations for guiding hot-tier insertion decisions. The method and apparatus include an adaptive management element that determines what accesses of a resource should be logged and the parameters for logging. The determinations are used to configure an adaptive logging element to log only accesses corresponding to the selected resource(s) and to log only those accesses that match the identified parameters. The adaptive management element operates in a feedback loop: first determining what will be logged and second implementing that determination by an adaptive logging element. Upon a triggering event, the process returns to the first determination based on any then current parameters. In some embodiments, the parameters include a size estimate to achieve a given target hit rate (target hit rate size estimate) that is used in generating a score or weighting to identify the highest/best scoring/weighted disk(s) for logging.

Abstract: An underwater camera and water quality monitoring system provides the capability of shooting video or time lapse photography together with recording water condition or quality measurements in an integrated device for stationary, submerged deployment in a body of water under study. The underwater camera and water quality monitoring system has a configurable delay from submerged deployment in the waterway until image/video recording and water quality measurement sampling begins, allowing aquatic life activity to resume in the vicinity after disruption of the system deployment. The monitoring device may be used in combination with recognition software utilizing artificial intelligence techniques to identify species or individuals observed during monitoring.

The opening in a front end of the board and the window includes a transparent top portion, a transparent bottom pane and sides forming a center void. The window is sealed to prevent water from entering the void and the window includes a bottom lip planar with the transparent bottom pane. The apparatus includes a seal positioned in a gap between the window and the opening in the board and above the lip. The seal is inserted from a top surface of the board and provides a friction fit between the window and the opening. The seal includes a flexible resilient material and sized for a friction fit between the opening and the window to prevent movement of the window.
