  • Publication number: 20150360016
Abstract: A method and device for analyzing and treating tonal imperfections on human skin. The method has the steps of taking at least one background image of at least 10 ?m2 of skin and calculating the average background L value of the image on a grey scale. One or more treatment images of the skin are taken and at least one localized L value of individual pixels or group of pixels is calculated within the treatment image. The local L value is compared to the background L value. Skin deviations are areas of skin where the absolute value of the difference between a local L and the background L is greater than a predetermined ?LS. Skin deviations are identified by this method and then treated with a treatment composition.

  • Publication number: 20150360015
Abstract: A method and device for analyzing and treating tonal imperfections on human skin. The method has the steps of providing one or more nozzles and taking an image of skin adjacent the nozzles. A central processing unit calculates a plurality of local L values of the skin near nozzles and calculates a background L. The background L may be the arithmetic average, median, or mean of the plurality of local Ls near nozzles. Skin deviations are areas of skin where the absolute value of the difference between a local L and the background L, ?LM, is greater than a predetermined ?LS. Skin deviations are identified by this method and then treated with a treatment composition.

  • Publication number: 20150360017
Abstract: A method and device for analyzing and treating tonal imperfections on human skin. The method has the steps of providing a preselected background L value. • Publication number: 20150359712
Abstract: A micro electromechanical ink jet printing system that has a cartridge having a body that defines a core, and a die that contains one or more nozzles. There is a treatment composition contained within the cartridge core. The system further includes a CPU that is programmable and can control the application of the treatment composition from within the cartridge core, through the one or more nozzles to human skin. Typically, the treatment composition will contain a skin treatment ingredient selected from the group consisting of particles, vitamins, yeast and yeast extracts, skin care actives, dyes, colorants and mixtures thereof. There may optionally be provided a bladder or foam block disposed within the cartridge core for suspending and regulating the flow of the treatment composition. The systems of this invention may include an applicator having an applicator head having one or more applicator nozzles which may be in a array.

  • Publication number: 20150359315
Abstract: An apparatus for treating human skin that has an applicator head having one or more applicator nozzles which may be in a array. The apparatus further has a reservoir comprising a treatment composition, a sensor, and a CPU. The sensor takes an image of at least 10 ?m2 of skin, the CPU analyzes the image to calculate one or more localized L values of individual pixels or group of pixels of the skin. Then the CPU compares the local L value to a predetermined background L value to identify skin deviations. A skin deviation occurs where the difference between the background L value and the local L value is greater than a predetermined ?LS value.
