  • Patent number: 8136741
Abstract: Disclosed is a fuel injection device comprising a housing and a valve element disposed therein and cooperating with a valve seat located in the area of at least one fuel discharge port. The valve element is composed of several parts while at least two parts of the valve element are coupled to each other via a hydraulic coupler.

  • Publication number: 20090184183
Abstract: A fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine includes a housing and a valve element arranged within the housing. The valve element interacts with a valve seat lying in the region of a fuel outlet opening. It is proposed that at least one control piston and a nozzle needle of the valve element be coupled to one another via a hydraulic coupler. The hydraulic coupler has a coupling space and a non-return valve connected to the coupling space and which opens away therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20080240952
Abstract: A high-pressure pump having a pump element a pump piston driven in a reciprocating motion and defining a pump work chamber into which fuel is aspirated from a fuel inlet during the intake stroke via an inlet valve, and from which fuel is positively displaced via an outlet valve during the pumping stroke. The inlet valve has a valve member which with a sealing face inclined relative to its longitudinal axis, cooperates with a valve seat disposed in a valve housing when the sealing face of valve member is lifted from the valve seat, a flow cross section between the valve member and the valve housing is opened between the fuel inlet and the pump work chamber. In the opened state, a region having the smallest flow cross section between the valve member and the valve housing is disposed downstream, of the sealing face of the valve member.

  • Publication number: 20080069712
Abstract: A high-pressure pump having at least one pump element, with a pump piston which is driven in a reciprocating motion and is guided displaceably in a cylinder bore of a pump housing part and which in the cylinder bore defines a pump work chamber that can be filled with fuel via a suction valve in the intake stroke of the pump piston. The suction valve has a valve member, which opens into the pump work chamber and cooperates with a valve seat. In its end region toward the suction valve, the pump piston has a blind bore, into which the valve member of the suction valve plunges, and in which a closing spring is disposed, which acts on the valve member and is braced on one end on the pump piston and on the other on the valve member. The valve member is guided displaceably in the blind bore of the pump piston.

  • Patent number: 7290559
Abstract: A check valve having a valve housing inserted into a receptacle in which housing a pistonlike valve member is guided longitudinally displaceably and cooperating with a valve seat on the valve housing. The valve member is urged in the closing direction by a prestressed closing spring and in the opening direction by the pressure prevailing in an inlet, and the valve member is inserted into the valve housing from the side of the valve seat. The valve housing is embodied in one piece and is embodied as cup-shaped and has both a bottom and a jacket region that defines a recess. With the open end of its recess, the valve housing points out of the receptacle, and the valve seat is located on the bottom of the valve housing, facing away from the recess. With a shaft, the valve member protrudes through a bore in the bottom into the recess in which the closing spring is located.

  • Patent number: 7219654
Abstract: The fuel injection system has a high-pressure pump that delivers fuel to an accumulator and fuel supply pump delivers fuel to the suction side of the high-pressure pump, with a fuel metering unit between the fuel supply and high-pressure pumps to variably adjust the fuel quantity taken in by the high-pressure pump. The accumulator is connected to at least one fuel injector and a return leads from the fuel injector(s). The fuel return from the injector(s) feeds into the connection between the fuel supply pump and the fuel metering unit. A connection controlled by a pressure valve leads from the fuel return to a discharge region. The high-pressure pump only draws fuel from the fuel return in operating states in which the fuel quantity delivered by the fuel supply pump is less than the required intake quantity of the high-pressure pump.
