Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for printing a paper web with a print motif by use of a digital printing facility, wherein the method includes: providing a reference decor sample that contains a section of a digital image of the original sample of the print motif; providing a hyperspectral reference data set for the reference decor sample; printing a copy of the reference decor sample; creating a hyperspectral data set for the printed copy; comparing the created hyperspectral data set with the provided hyperspectral reference data set by use of an electrical control unit, wherein a degree of similarity is determined; and using the reference decor sample when printing the print motif onto the paper web when the degree of similarity lies within a predetermined range, wherein the position of the print width of the copy corresponds to the position of the print width of the reference decor sample.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for printing a paper web with at least one print motif by means of a digital printing facility. The method includes: providing a digital image of a master sample of the print motif, printing a plurality of copies of a section of the at least one print motif with different color settings, creating digital images of the printed copies, comparing the digital images of the printed copies with the digital image of the master sample, where a degree of similarity is determined in each case, selecting color settings using the determined degrees of similarity and printing the print motif onto the paper web with the selected color settings.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for printing a decorative pattern onto a surface of a paper that includes: applying a primer to a surface of an unprinted base paper, printing a grid marking and a decorative pattern onto a primer-coated base paper, thereby obtaining a printed base paper, detecting a grid spacing between at least two points of the grid marking to determine an actual state of the printed base paper, comparing the detected grid spacing according to the actual state with a grid spacing digitally stored as a target state for the printed decorative pattern, amending the stored target grid spacing based on the comparison by creating an amended target grid spacing and a decorative pattern amended therewith and/or amending at least one process parameter for controlling the application of the primer and/or the printing of the grid marking and/or the drying until a predetermined criterion is met.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for printing a decoration on the surface of a workpiece by means of digital printing equipment. The printing equipment includes at least one application unit for applying a liquid to the workpiece and at least one dryer unit for drying the workpiece. The method includes: providing information in an electric control unit of the printing equipment about the expected moisture of the workpiece to be dried, determining drying parameters with which the at least one dryer unit can be operated on the basis of the information provided, and drying the workpiece by means of the at least one dryer unit using the determined drying parameters.
