The system receives a request over a network from a computer system and associates the request with a user profile that is associated with a user. Next, the system retrieves a description of a first item from the user profile, selects a second item from candidate items, the second item being related to the first item. Finally, the system communicates, over the network, information that is related to the second item.

Abstract: Methods and systems to merchandise a product based on compatibility are disclosed. The system receives a request over a network from a user. Next, the system associates the request with a user profile that is associated with the user, retrieves an application listing from the user profile that describes a first item and associates the first item with a plurality of candidate items based on item cluster information that is generated based on content data information that is received from a content data provider. Next, the system selects a second item from the plurality of candidate items, the second item being a component of the first item. Finally, the system communicates the merchandising information over a network, to merchandize the second item.

Abstract: A method and system generate and manage marketplace listings. In some embodiments, the method receives product information from a catalog service. The method also receives a product listing request from the catalog service that identifies a product contained in the product information. The product listing request is generated by a distributor associated with the catalog service. The method accesses distributor data associated with the distributor initiating the product listing request and accesses a listing template associated with the product information. A marketplace listing is generated based on the product, the distributor data, and the listing template.

Abstract: An instructional interface may be provided to a user device by an instructional interface machine. The instructional interface is configured to present a first textual instruction contemporaneously with first media content. The instructional interface is configured to receive a request that a second textual instruction be presented. The instructional interface is further configured to present the second textual instruction contemporaneously with second media content, and to present a reference to a product that is pertinent to the first textual instruction, pertinent to the second textual instruction, or pertinent to both. The instructional interface machine may provide the instructional interface, the first textual instructions and the first media content to the user device. The instructional interface machine may then detect the request and provide the second textual instructions and the second media content to the user device, in response to the request.
