    Abstract: A display panel includes a backplane, a plurality of connecting lines and a protective layer. The backplane includes a first main surface and a second main surface, and side surfaces connecting the first main surface and the second main surface. At least one side surface is a selected side surface protruding from a first reference plane. The selected side surface is composed by a plurality of first sub-surfaces connected in sequence. The plurality of first sub-surfaces have the same curvature; or each first sub-surface is a plane; or a part of first sub-surfaces are planes, and another part of first sub-surface are curved surfaces. The plurality of connecting lines are provided side by side and at intervals. The protective layer is at least provided on the side surface and regions of the first main surface and the second main surface proximate to the selected side surface.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for eye-tracking by steering a scan beam in a two-dimensional pattern over a scan region on the eye and detecting light reflected from a plurality of reflection points in the scan region at an angle-sensitive detector. The three-dimensional location of each reflection point is determined by triangulating the instantaneous propagation directions of the scan beam and the reflected signal from that reflection point. Gaze direction for the eye is determined from the locations of the reflection points in three-dimensional space.

Each chip stack includes a flat optics layer (e.g., metasurface), at least one spacer layer, an optional filter layer, and either an image sensor or a light source. In one example, two apertures and two corresponding chip stacks are provided; both chip stacks include image sensors but different metasurfaces and filters to capture different information from the scene. In an alternative embodiment, the two chip stacks include a light source and an image sensor, to function as a light projector and a light receiver, respectively. In other examples, two apertures and a single chip stack are provided, where the single chip stack include two metasurface and/or two filters corresponding to the two apertures.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides a method of dehydrogenating hydrocarbons, such as C2 or C3 hydrocarbons, selectively and efficiently, to provide the corresponding alkylenes. The method is based on a Pt nanolayer catalyst over MXene (Pt/MXene) that shows resistance to coke deposition. The dehydrogenation conditions developed provided about 22% propane conversion and over 90% selectivity toward the desired propylene product, and the catalyst was stable for a 24-hour continuous run. The byproducts were ethane, ethylene, and methane, and only trace amounts of coke deposition over the catalyst were detected. Similar dehydrogenation conditions provided about 18% ethane conversion and over 90% selectivity toward the desired ethylene product. A mass balance of greater than 96% was achieved in each case.

    Abstract: A semiconductor device and a method of fabricating the same are disclosed. A reference direction for a substrate is parallel to a first or second crystallographic direction, and a patterned hard mask layer is distributed along the first crystallographic direction. For substrates with notches oriented in different crystallographic directions, the patterned mask layer may be used as a mask for forming trenches in the substrate surface. When viewed normal to a cross-section perpendicular to the substrate, each trench has a cross-sectional width decreasing from the substrate surface toward the inside of the substrate. This allows the semiconductor device to have increased light absorption and conversion efficiency. Forming the trenches by wet etching can avoid increased dark current due to damage to the trenches' side surfaces that may be caused by the use of a dry etching process. Thus, an effective improvement in terms of dark current can be achieved.
