Abstract: A pixel includes a first electrode, a second electrode and a third electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode are formed on a lower substrate. The third electrode is formed on an upper substrate and above a position between the first and second electrodes. Liquid crystals are formed between the upper and lower substrates. A method for driving the pixel includes providing a first data voltage to the first electrode, providing a second data voltage to the second electrode, and providing a common voltage to the third electrode. The common voltage is substantially the mean value of the first and second data voltages.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display panel. First, a top substrate, a bottom substrate, and a liquid crystal medium are provided, and the liquid crystal medium is filled between the top substrate and the bottom substrate. Next, an electric field is applied to the liquid crystal medium. Then, the electric field is stopped. Thereafter, an energy light beam is irradiated on the liquid crystal medium to form a liquid crystal layer.
