    Abstract: Within a direct current hybrid circuit breaker (DC HCB), a commutation unit (CU) is provided in a semiconductor switch path in series with a semiconductor switch to facilitate opening the DC HCB. The semiconductor switch path is connected in parallel with a mechanical switch path that includes a mechanical switch. The CU is a controlled voltage source which applies a reverse biased voltage on the semiconductor switch path. The CU causes the current through the mechanical switch to ramp down while the current through the semiconductor switch ramps up to a supply current. The CU maintains the current through the mechanical switch to remain at a zero vale by compensating for the voltage drop across the semiconductor switch and the self-inductance of the semiconductor switch path. The mechanical switch can open without current and against no recovery voltage.

In an embodiment, a method comprises: performing, by a gateway, a lookup of available virtual tunnel interfaces (“VTIs”) implemented in the gateway to determine a plurality of VTIs; generating a hash value from contents of one or more inner headers of the packet; based on the hash value, determining a VTI device identifier; wherein the VTI device identifier uniquely identifies a particular VTI from the plurality of VTIs; and relaying the packet on a gateway output port that is associated with the particular VTI to allow forwarding of the packet via a particular IPsec VPN tunnel of a plurality of IPsec VPN tunnels.

In some embodiment, using an SPI derivation formula, a server in the network is able to generate SPI values whose bit spaces are optimized to allow key policies to scale out.

    Abstract: In various embodiments the invention is directed to a structured filament for use in fused filament fabrication comprising an inner core comprising an first polymer or polymer blend; and an outer shell surrounding said inner core comprising a second polymer or polymer blend having ionic or crystalline functionality; wherein said first polymer or polymer blend has a higher solidification temperature than said second polymer or polymer blend. The ionic or crystalline functionality of the outer shell material strengthen the interface between the printed layers. This structured filament leads to printed 3D structures having improved dimensional fidelity and impact resistance in comparison to the individual components. The impact resistance of structures printed from these is greatly increased as energy is dissipated by delamination of the shell from the core near the crack tip, while the core remains intact to provide stability to the part after impact.
