    Abstract: An LED lamp includes a heat dissipation apparatus with a base, an LED module mounted on the base, and an AC-DC converter electrically connected to the LED module. The AC-DC converter is mounted on the base near the LED module. Heat generated by the LED module and heat-generating components of the AC-DC converter is transferred to the base from which the heat is dissipated by the heat dissipation apparatus. Heat pipes are embedded in the base of the heat dissipation apparatus.

    Abstract: An LED lamp includes a heat absorbing member having a hollow, cylindrical configuration, a lamp base, a plurality of LED modules and a heat sink. The heat absorbing member defines a through hole therein. The heat sink is secured to a top portion of the heat absorbing member. The lamp base is secured to a bottom portion of the heat absorbing member. The LED modules are mounted on an outer sidewall of the heat absorbing member, and each of the LED modules includes a printed circuit board and a plurality of LEDs mounted on the printed circuit board. Each of the heat pipes has an evaporating portion received in an inner sidewall of the heat absorbing member and a condensing portion connecting with the heat sink. The condensing portions of the heat pipes are radially arranged on the heat sink, radiating outwardly from a central point of the heat sink.

    Abstract: An LED unit (10) includes an LED (20) and a lens (30) disposed on the LED. The lens includes a square body (32) and a frustum-shaped body (34) formed downwardly from the square body, wherein a tapered side face (342) of the frustum-shaped body is coated with a reflective film. The LED includes a lens (26) that has a planar top face (28) directly contacting with a planar, circular bottom face (340) of the frustum-shaped body of the lens; thus light emitted from an LED chip (23) in the LED can pass through the lens of the LED and the lens without a total internal reflection occurring at an interface between the lens of the LED and the lens. Accordingly, a high bright light is obtained since nearly all of the light can be transmitted out of the LED unit.

A plurality of fins (340) extends inwardly from inner faces of the heat sink to cooperatively define two crossed slots in the heat sink. When the fan is in operation, an airflow produced by the fan flows through the fins from the top through the bottom of the heat sink, thereby dissipating heat absorbed by the heat sink from the LED modules rapidly and efficiently.

    Abstract: An LED lamp includes a plurality of LED modules, a cone-shaped heat absorbing member, a heat sink and an envelope. The heat absorbing member comprises a plurality of heat absorbing portions. Each of the heat absorbing portions has a configuration like a triangular pyramid and comprises a sector base and an inclined surface extending from an edge of the sector base to a single apex. Each of the LED modules is attached on a corresponding inclined surface. The heat sink thermally connects with the heat absorbing member. The envelope is mounted below the heat sink and engages with the heat sink to enclose the heat absorbing member and the LED modules therein. Heat generated by the LED modules is first absorbed by the heat absorbing member and then dissipated to ambient air through the heat sink.
