  • Publication number: 20250248833
Abstract: A balloon expandable stent having multiple rings and cells with ultra-thin struts, wherein the sizes of the cells are larger proximally and varies amongst the rings, enabling the stent to expand to a larger diameter at its proximal end compared with the distal end. A conical shape rather than the classic cylindrical design post deployment ensures adequate opposition of the stent to the arterial wall and avoids supramaximal expansion at the distal end. A unique monorail angioplasty balloon catheter delivers the stent through tortuous intracranial arteries with longer working length. A longer segment with traversing microwire enables modification in stiffness depending on stiffness of microwire, and reduction in length of segment with a hypotube alone.

  • Patent number: 12368007
Abstract: The present invention teaches increasing the efficiency of a dye-sensitive solar cell by increasing the surface area of the DSSC photoanode. A thin film titanium oxide is deposited in trapezoidal shaped wells etched in the DSSC substrate. The thin-film titanium oxide is anodized to produce titanium oxide nanotubes on the inner surface of the trapezoidal shaped wells to further increase the surface area and incidence of light being temporarily trapped within the wells. A sensitized dye overlays the titanium oxide nanotubes to increase quantity of light absorbed by the titanium oxide nanotubes. A photoactive layer such as Cs2O may be deposited to enhance electron current contribution. A compatible transparent metal contact layer is deposited. This layer may be followed by a high-refractive index droplet over the well to act as a convex lens waveguide for incoming light. Electrical connections are then made to the frontside and backside metal contacts.

  • Patent number: 12363542
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for augmenting the services of SM-DP and SM-DP+ based mobile network systems. These systems and methods enable securing, in advance of arrival at the mobile network system, connectivity services (e.g., limited, short or one-time) or long-term subscription for eSIM/iSIM capable devices/machines. Such connectivity services may be purchased or booked in advance from a local or foreign network operator with service to be activated immediately or at a point in the future. For example, a traveler to a foreign country can pre-purchase (at the travel booking stage) mobile connectivity for use during upcoming travel to a foreign network. The corresponding service can be activated at the time/date of arrival for the selected period.

Each vibratory energy converter assembly includes an actuator that is carried by the housing. The actuator has a translational degree of freedom of movement with respect to the housing, and vibration of the housing by the vibratory compaction machine causes movement of the actuator with respect to the housing in a first direction. Each vibratory energy converter assembly includes a generator subassembly to convert mechanical vibratory energy of the movement of the actuator into electrical energy.

Abstract: Example methods and systems for short-circuit current control in power systems are disclosed. One example method includes determining a respective maximum short-circuit current (SCC) value at each piece of equipment in the power system. A respective SCC rating of each piece of the equipment in the power system is compared with the respective maximum SCC value at the piece of the equipment. A target reactance of a variable series reactor in a mobile short-circuit control unit (MSCCU) to be installed between two points of the power system is determined in response to the maximum SCC values at one or more pieces of the equipment exceeding the SCC ratings of the one or more pieces of the equipment. A reactance of the variable series reactor is adjusted to the target reactance. The MSCCU is installed between the two points of the power system.
