    Abstract: Screw connection, in particular, a tension clamp, and method of forming the screw connection. The screw connection includes a screw having a screw head and an external thread with a thread turn profile and a thread axis, and a mating thread element having an internal thread, matched to the external thread, with at least one thread groove bordered by thread flanks to screwably receive the screw. A geometrically defined deformation of the external thread is arranged at a predetermined distance from the screw head to collide with at least one thread flank during the screwing of the screw into the mating thread element.
