  • Patent number: 10714219
Abstract: Systems and methods of sharing medical images through a secure, HIPAA-compliant social network construct (CarePod) between two or more members of the CarePod are disclosed. A first user may communicate remotely with a CarePod that is created and associate with a patient having medical treatment in order to initiate the sharing of medical image(s) of a patient If the first user is not a member of the CarePod, the system may add the first user as a member of the CarePod through a verification/authentication process. Once authenticated, privileges of the first user may be set with respect to certain actions that the first user may perform with medical images. Medical image(s) may be shared asynchronously or streamed substantially in real-time—e.g., possibly to aid medical procedures that are occurring.

  • Publication number: 20180107800
Abstract: Databases comprising autonomous or semi-autonomous platforms for the diagnosis and treatment of patient conditions are disclosed. A CarePod is configured to be a system for affecting an authenticatable, HIPAA-compliant communications and monitoring platform to facilitate patient's on-going diagnosis and treatment of a given condition. In the area of psychotherapy, CarePod/IA may affect methods for allowing new members into the treatment group by directing a set of diagnostic tools and tests, ingesting response data, re-evaluating such response data to fine tune diagnosis as to patient's condition. Facilitated communications by and between members may be monitored by and between members by a CarePod/IA and, depending upon threshold conditions, may either update a patient's care dashboard/record or take a plurality of actions (e.g., emergency responses) as the situation dictates.

  • Patent number: 6335239
Abstract: A memory device formed in a substrate having a trench with side walls formed in the substrate. The device includes a bit line conductor and a word line conductor. A signal storage node has a first electrode, a second electrode formed within the trench, and a node dielectric formed between the first and second electrodes. A signal transfer device has: (i) an annular signal transfer region with an outer surface adjacent the side walls of the trench, an inner surface, a first end, and a second end; (ii) a first diffusion region coupling the first end of the signal transfer region to the second electrode of the signal storage node; (iii) a second diffusion region coupling the second end of the signal transfer region to the bit line conductor; (iv) a gate insulator coating the inner surface of the signal transfer region; and (v) a gate conductor coating the gate insulator and coupled to the word line.

  • Patent number: 6140208
Abstract: A reduction in parasitic leakages of shallow trench isolation vias is disclosed wherein the distance between the silicon nitride liner and the active silicon sidewalls is increased by depositing an insulating oxide layer prior to deposition of the silicon nitride liner. Preferably, the insulating oxide layer comprises tetraethylorthosilicate. The method comprises of etching one or more shallow trench isolations into a semiconductor wafer; depositing an insulating oxide layer into the trench; growing a thermal oxide in the trench; and depositing a silicon nitride liner in the trench. The thermal oxide may be grown prior to or after deposition of the insulating oxide layer.

  • Patent number: 5559912
Abstract: This invention describes how commercial silicon-on-insulator material can be used to fabricate both wavelength filters and wavelength-selective photodetectors. The silicon-on-insulator substrates have a buried silicon dioxide layer and a thin top silicon layer and are manufactured for high speed electonics applications. However, in this invention, the thin silicon layer is used as the core of a waveguide and the buried silicon dioxide as a lower cladding region. Another cladding layer and a low index waveguide is fabricated on the commercial substrate to form an asymmetric waveguide coupler structure. The added low index waveguide and the original thin silicon layer form the two waveguides of the coupler. Since the the two waveguide materials have very different indices of refraction, they are only phase-matched at one wavelength. Thus for a given thickness of materials, only one wavelength couples between the two waveguides.
