  • Patent number: 9544763
Abstract: One method by a network operations center node controls collection of information from electronic devices. A request message is received from a sensor, which requests collection of information from electronic devices within range of the sensor. One of a plurality of radio access networks is selected based on it likely being communicatively connected to electronic devices within range of the sensor. An inquiry message is sent to the radio access network for broadcast to the electronic devices, requesting information from the electronic devices. An authentication message is received from a responsive electronic device. An information collection disclosure response that identifies who is requesting collection of the information from the electronic device and/or how information collected from the electronic device will be used, is sent to the electronic device. Related methods by sensors and electronic devices, and related sensors, network operations center nodes, and electronic devices are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9538234
Abstract: A media muxer node (10) of a local network (7) is configured to time-shift a live media stream, by storing the stream on a local network storage (3) during a pause, and providing the stored and time-shifted stream to a local network-UE (5) after the pause. The pausing and the resuming of the media stream can be initiated from an external network-connected UE (1) outside the local network, or directly from the local network UE (7). The system also comprises a media aggregating node (2) for authentication of the external network—connected UE (1), which are both connected to a virtual control node (4). If a pause in the replay is discovered, the media muxer node (10) sees to the storage of the media in a local network storage (3) until the discovery of a restart command.

  • Patent number: 9369663
Abstract: A remote-controlled recording of selected linear media, e.g. a TV program, on a Recording device (3) belonging to a first subscriber (Subscriber A). The recording is remote-controlled from a Media Management server (1), e.g. an IPTV Backend, and initiated from a User equipment (2) belonging to a different subscriber (Subscriber B), wherein Subscriber B must be authorized by Subscriber A to access the Recording device. The authorization is checked by the Media management server, e.g. from a Friends list or an Access list stored in the Media management server, or in an external social network-node.

  • Patent number: 9237062
Abstract: A resource management node is disclosed that manages a plurality of resource nodes connected to at least one network. The resource management node includes a system entity database, an interaction flow database, and an interaction execution engine. The system entity database contains information identifying communication addresses for the resource nodes and associated metadata identifying capabilities of the resource nodes. The interaction flow database contains information defining data flows that are permitted between identified ones of the resource nodes and associated triggering criteria defining when identified ones of the data flows are to be performed. The interaction execution engine is configured to determine that one of the triggering criteria defined by the interaction flow database is satisfied and to respond by establishing the associated data flow between the identified ones of the resource nodes.

  • Publication number: 20130205375
Abstract: A method performed in a media aggregating node and a media aggregating node is provided for authorizing a second electronic device to control a media rendering unit included in a local network environment. The media aggregating node is network environment, e.g. a DLNA network, comprising a gateway, which is the communication interface between the media aggregating node and the media rendering units comprised in the local network environment. The media aggregating node is further connected to first electronic device, which controls a media rendering unit, in the local network environment, and the media rendering upon it. The media aggregating node is further connected to a second electronic device or to a set of second electronic devices, which can be associated with a second user. The media aggregating node receives an instruction, from the first electronic device to authorize a second electronic device to control the media rendering unit.

  • Publication number: 20130159857
Abstract: An electronic device is connected to media aggregating node, which publishes media items from external network media providers, and arranged to select a media rendering unit, comprised in local network environment, by a pointing action and further to select a media item. The electronic device sends information regarding user selected media rendering units and media items to the media aggregating node, which in turns forwards the information to the local network, via a gateway, such that user selected media is rendered on the user selected media rendering unit.

  • Publication number: 20120079091

  • Publication number: 20120079092
Abstract: Methods performed by a resource management node for managing resource nodes connected to a network are disclosed. An example method includes establishing clusters of the resource nodes and associated data flows that are permitted between the resource nodes within each cluster and a user equipment node through the network, and associated rules that control the data flows. A first one of the rules is determined to have been satisfied for controlling a data flow for a first resource node in a first cluster. Information is communicated to the user equipment node that causes the user equipment node to prioritize handling of the data flow for the first resource node and other resource nodes in the first cluster in response to the first rule being satisfied. Related resource management nodes and user equipment nodes are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20110040833
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements for providing caller information to a SIP enabled client (320), e.g. an IPTV client, in a communication network (10). The SIP enabled client (320) is connected to a SIP communication client (310), e.g. a VoIP client, in a home network (300). When another SIP communication client (100) in the communication network (10) calls the VoIP client (310) the call is forwarded to the VoIP client and forked to a caller ID application server (200). As the IPTV client has registered for a subscription to caller information on communication destined to the VoIP client in the home network, it receives caller information of the SIP communication client (100) from the caller ID application server (200) if the VoIP client has enabled the caller information functionality.
