  • Publication number: 20250247221
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a lightweight authentication service, system and method that securely authenticates the identity of a secure user equipment (UE) or a device in a communication network system. The service and associated methods work by creating two partial secrets namely a first partial secret and a second partial secret. The first partial secret is generated by the manufacturer or the owner of the UE, which is stored on a secure location on the UE and the second partial secret is stored in a database storage system on a server in a cloud running an authentication service. The encryption of information elements is done by multiplying the information elements with the square of random numbers, the encrypted secrets are randomized and before transmission on the channel. The disclosure also describes a receiver UE that could either request an authentication service, running in a cloud, to authenticate a sender UE.

  • Patent number: 12375885
Abstract: An open group chat (OGC) session is initiated between mobile devices registered to different telecommunications networks by first verifying whether each implicated network has a network-to-network interface (NNI) agreement with each other network. A first mobile device receives a request to initiate an OGC session between the first mobile device, a second mobile device registered to a second telecommunications network, and a third mobile device registered to a third telecommunications network. The first device determines, based on a response received from the second network, if an operator of the second network and an operator of the third network have an NNI agreement. If the received response indicates the operators of the second and third networks do not have an NNI agreement, the first mobile device sends a non-OGC message, such as a multimedia messaging service (MMS) message or a closed group chat (CGC) message, to the second and third devices.

  • Publication number: 20250202807
Abstract: Unlike smart devices, Internet of things (IoTs), such as meter readers, generate very low revenue per user. Traditional tunnel/bearer based connection-oriented architectures do not scale economically for billions of IoT devices due to the amount of signaling overhead associated with GTP tunnel setup/tear down and the states related to GTP tunnels maintained at various parts of the mobile network. However, the mobility network can efficiently support massive stationary and/or mobile IoTs by reducing the amount of signaling overhead, the state of the IoTs kept in network, and simplifying the data plane when possible.

  • Publication number: 20250191937
Abstract: A method and apparatus extracts solder from a redress site of multiple chips on a laminate structure. The method includes depositing conductive pads on a flexible insulating film with a same pitch as solder bumps on a laminate structure that are to be extracted. The flexible film is mounted on a retaining surface, and the conductive pads are heated at a temperature above a solder melting temperature. The retaining surface descends toward a laminate having solder thereon until the heated conductive pads come into contact with at least one solder bump. The retaining surface is retracted from contact and includes most of the at least one contacted solder bump that was on the laminate structure. The operations repeat until the solder remaining on die pads on the laminate is similar to an amount of initially arranged pre-solder.
