  • Patent number: 8805703
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a system and method for automatedly aggregating medically related data and disseminating different sets of the aggregated data to two or more different members of a medical care provider. Some embodiments automatedly and intelligently disseminate the aggregated data such that the data that is written once to the data storage solution is usable for a multitude of purposes within the functions of the medical care provider. Some embodiments intelligently disseminate the aggregated data by disseminating only relevant sub-components of the data to different members of the medical care provider based on the needs of the members such that different members receive different subsets of the data.

  • Patent number: 8634677
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method and system for efficiently transferring medical images. Some embodiments receive a medical image in a first platform dependent format of a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). The first platform dependent format is one that is accessible by a first format compliant device that includes a library that specifies how to decode the first format. Some embodiments transform the medical image from the first format to a second format. The second format includes decoded content of the first format that is viewable on a first format non-compliant device. The transformed image is then passed to the device for viewing. Additionally, some embodiments efficiently transfer medical images by identifying image settings for one or more devices and by passing requested images that are optimized by resizing the images according to the image settings of the requesting device.

  • Publication number: 20130231961
Abstract: A system and method for providing access to clinical data over the Internet. The system includes a server, and a database in communication with the server. The database stores clinical data sets. The system further includes a thin client, a communication link between the server and the Internet, and a communication link between the thin client and the Internet. • Patent number: 8381124
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a single-select method and system for launching clinical information in multiple dashboards based on a selection of a single piece of clinical information (e.g., based on a cursor-click selection of a patient name in a patient list). In some embodiments, each launched dashboard is a single “flat” dashboard that cannot be “drilled down” to another dashboard. In other embodiments, each launched dashboard can be a drilldown dashboard, i.e., a dashboard that is several dashboards that are linked together so that a user can navigate between them by selecting items displayed in the dashboards (e.g., by traversing from a first dashboard to a second dashboard through a selection of an item in a window pane of the first dashboard). Accordingly, some embodiments use the single-select method of some embodiments in lieu of drill-down dashboards, while other embodiments use the single-select method in conjunction with drill-down dashboards.

  • Publication number: 20100057646
Abstract: An intelligent method for displaying patient data is described. Patient data may be collected from a variety of reporting systems. The method normalizes the patient data so that it may be compared to a set of rules used to define various conditions. The method identifies a medical or non-medical condition based on the patient data and set of rules. Based on the identified condition, the method then recommends a user interface for displaying patient data to a user. A user may accept or reject the recommended user interface and/or may select a different user interface. The users' selections are collected for automated analysis in order to improve the recommendations made to other users based on similar patient or user data.

The system includes a server, and databases in communication with the server. The server is connected to a communication network. Software on server the generates a pre-populated daily progress note for a patient by retrieving clinical data related to that patient and populating the corresponding fields of the template. The system transmits the daily progress note to a health care provider who may enter additional data into the template. The health care provider transmits the completed daily progress note to the hospital server.
