Abstract: The baggage/parcels handling system is an automated system that can reduce the use of manpower for baggage/parcels handling and easily adapt to an airport or any baggage/parcels handling organization's process. This system has four different types of structures which can be functioning manually and automatically uploading and downloading luggage (baggage). Transporting and stocking baggage/parcels from one location to the other location are also included in this system. The system has transport vehicle comprises robot, conveyor, laser measurement and an optical reader to recognize the baggage/parcel's size and shape at the time of uploading and downloading. Baggage/parcels transfer cart and stocker system have been installed in the system to transfer or hold a large number of the baggage/parcels and capable of navigating from one location(s) to the other location(s) manually or automatically or pulled by baggage transport vehicle. The system is remotely controlled and monitored through a control room.
