Abstract: A capacity planning method and system that dynamically determine staff capacity based on staff availability, work schedule, and holdover information, also provides a confidence indication to assist determination of report accuracy. The system calculates a workload of a task, and the amount of time or the number of staff needed to perform the tasks. A capacity report is generated based on the workload and staff availability. The task includes data obtained or generated from different sources and/or various methods. Respective trustworthiness scores associated with the data obtained or generated from different sources and/or methods are obtained to calculate an index of confidence indicating the reliability of information included in the capacity report.
