  • Patent number: 5232811
Abstract: A dyed latex liquid developer composition comprising:(a) a carrier liquid;(b) a dyed latex;(c) a charge director; and(d) at least about 0.5% by weight of mineral oil, based on the total developer formulation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 19, 1991
Date of Patent: August 3, 1993
    Assignee: Olin Corporation
Inventors: Joseph deGraft-Johnson, Feagin A. Wing, Jr.
  • Patent number: 5185226
Abstract: An electrostatic method is disclosed for providing multicolor imaging from a single toner bath. The toner bath is a blend of individual toners, each of which contains a color precursor different from the others. Also disclosed is a method for the double encapsulation of toner particles to produce toner particles characterized by multiple encapsulation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 28, 1991
Date of Patent: February 9, 1993
    Assignee: Olin Corporation
Inventors: Paul V. Grosso, Feagin A. Wing, Jr., Michael J. Morgan, Renate C. Stegmeier, Roger W. Day, Willard F. Burt
  • Patent number: 5108867
Abstract: An electrostatic multicolor imaging system employs a transfer surface which is charged imagewise such that blended microcapsular chromogenic photohardenable toner particles are electrostatically deposited only in those charged regions of a latent image formed on the surface where colors are to be provided for the image.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 15, 1989
Date of Patent: April 28, 1992
    Assignee: Olin Corporation

  • Patent number: 5015549
Abstract: A positive or negative latent image can be developed with negatively or positively charged toner particles, respectively, that are microcapsular. The shell material of the toner particles is a melamine-formaldehyde resin or a starch-based material. The core is a liquid solution comprising at least a liquid, ethylenically unsaturated monomer, a leuco dye and a photoinitiator.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 25, 1989
Date of Patent: May 14, 1991
    Assignee: Olin Corporation

  • Patent number: 4908301
Abstract: This, invention relates to electrostatic imaging systems, and, more particularly, color-self-developing toner particles and processes for the fabrication and use thereof. A blend of these toner particles is useful in multicolor electrostatic imaging using a single dry or liquid toner bath. Potential applications include full-color xerographic copying, full-color printing, full-color computer-generated imaging, and the like.

  • Patent number: 4654234
Abstract: A flexible non-reticulated foam pad having on a surface thereof a polyurethane coating consisting essentially of a cured isocyanate-terminated prepolymer, the penetration of the prepolymer coating being no more than about 50 percent of the thickness of the flexible urethane foam. The coated surface provides an abrasive area which enhances its use in cleaning applications as well as increasing the resistance to tear propagation of the wet foam. In addition, the major portion of the foam pad is available for the release of cleaning and sanitizing agents or the absorption of liquids such as water. The novel foam pads are suitable for household, institutional and industrial use.
