    Abstract: L-shaped connector pins are press-fit into through-holes located near the edge of a circuit board. One leg of a pin extends into the through-hole; the other leg extends horizontally over the circuit board and past the circuit board's edge where it can be attached to a mating receptacle connector. The height of the L-shaped connector pins can be reduced to be less than the height of electronic devices on the circuit board. The number of pins for any circuit board can be customized, reducing connector cost.
