  • Patent number: 9440761
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and equipment for the fabrication of glass containers with internally threaded neck and such containers. The plunger (6) is from the glass leaving an imprint corresponding to the mouth (M) of a bottle, wherein the plunger has at least one helical groove (15) in its outside surface. During the extraction, the plunger is rotated around a longitudinal axis (X-X) performing a roto-translational motion to unscrew the plunger out of the partially solidified glass, leaving an internal thread in the mouth (M) of the bottle.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 30, 2011
Date of Patent: September 13, 2016
    Assignee: Owens-Brockway Glass Container Inc.
Inventors: Benoit Villaret De Chauvigny, Gino Giovanni Brignolo, Ambrogio Morettin, Federico Campodonico, Dalmazio Perrone
  • Publication number: 20150360803
Abstract: A glass container with a cylindrical neck including an internal thread allowing for reversible plugging and unplugging of the container by screwing and unscrewing said stopper, wherein the internal thread of the neck includes at least two independent thread turns allowing unplugging and plugging of the container by screwing and respectively unscrewing the stopper by rotating it over an angle of less than 180°.
