    Abstract: A plant for the production and packaging of bars and steel profiles includes a rolling station of rods and profiles of indefinite length, a cooling station, a scrap separation station, a diverter device, cutting shears, intended to cut said bars and profiles in bar portions having a fixed length, and a speed changing device, able to move the bar portions at a speed rate such that they can be placed within respective grooves or housing provided on the outer surface of at least one cylinder or rotating drum.     Abstract: A demountable rolling stand having a support base, a pair of rolling cylinders with necks formed thereon, two side structures for supporting the rolling cylinders laterally therebetween, at least two pairs of pretensioning tie-rods engaging the side structures so as to clamp the side structures to the cylinders. The side structures have cylindrical support roll bearings affixed thereto in support of the rolling cylinders. The necks of the rolling cylinders have an interior ring of the cylindrical support roll bearings affixed directly thereto such that the interior ring is removable along with the rolling cylinders. The support base is connected to the side structures so as to support the cylinders above a surface. The pretensioning tie-rods serve to pretension a rolling force between the cylinders.

    Abstract: A bars packer plant having hung transfer magnets for packing bar layers differentiated in number including a single linear system of rotating hung transfer magnets movable between a position above a supply line with bar layers to be picked up to a position above a pack formation pocket. The transfer magnets rotate by turning upside down. A lifter is provided below the supply line and below the hung transfer magnets in a pick-up area. The lifter serves to lift one bar layer and attach it to a magnetic pickup surface above and below the hung transfer magnets, depending on the rotation of the magnetic pickup surface.
