Abstract: Frusto-conical or cylindrical reels or cones are first oriented with their axes perpendicular or parallel to the axis of a conveyor belt. Then, by a tilting device actuated by a detector device for detecting the position of a through hole in a reel, the reels or cones are all arranged with their axes parallel to the axis of the conveyor belt. In the case of frusto-conical reels or cones a further detector actuates a device for rotating the reels or cones about a vertical axis. The system includes a slanting plate for rectifying the position of the reels or cones, the tilting device and relative detector and the rotating device and relative detector. All these devices can be removed selectively and a flag-shaped device is provided for fitting to the system in order to adapt it for use with disk-shaped reels.

Abstract: The invention is concerned with a machine for drawing yarn hanks from advancing hank carrying supports and doffing the drawn hanks on a carriage or container or conveyor belt. The machine comprises a pliers holder head wherein the pliers, each formed of two or more rods movable near one another, can be adjusted in spacing for adaptation to various dimensions of hanks. The head is rotatable about a horizontal axis to arrange the hanks in horizontal direction and is tiltable or upsettable about a further horizontal axis. Furthermore, the head is mounted to be movable parallel to the extension of the hank carrying supports, and preferably also parallel to the advancement or feeding of the hank carrying supports.

Abstract: A plant for automatically supplying hanks carried on sticks to a squeezing unit or squeezer for hank squeezing, for removing squeezed hanks from the squeezer, for transfer of hanks to a movement line or apparatus and for stick removal. The plant has a chain feeder for the squeezer, a roller squeezer with stick gripping pliers, a chain unloading conveyor and a pliers transferring apparatus or translating device, and is adjustable for adaptation to sticks of various lengths.

Abstract: A rotating device for rotatably transferring yarn skeins or hanks from a first generally stationary support or carrier to a second generally movable support or carrier, the latter being substantially at the same level as the first support or carrier, comprises a vertical structure, carrying two slide guides parallel to the movement of the second support; thereon a carriage having a rotating head is movable and has a rotating frame with two slide bars integral therewith; a rod carrying slider moves forwardly and backwardly on the bars, and carries two skein-holder rods which are parallel to each other and can be moved toward and away from each other. Preferably, the rotational movement is given by a cylinder-piston assembly between the vertical structure and an eccentric location on the rotating frame.

Abstract: An apparatus for transferring yarns in hanks from hank carriers or supports movable along a feeding line to a container or conveyor device comprises a head (40) movable in at least one direction parallel with the extension of the hank holding supports (11) and preferably movable also parallel with the feeding of the hank holders; the head carries at least one pliers member (50) comprising two parallel rods (51, 52) cantilevered and movable between a spread apart position and a position close to each other.

Abstract: A hank transfer apparatus for transferring hanks from a hank carrier (100) to a holding or transporting device, comprises, on a stationary structure (11, 12, 13) a movable head (72) carrying two parallel hank-holder rods (90, 91) extended therefrom, which can be moved near each other in a closing position for introduction into a hank hanging from a hank carrier, and moved away from each other to an opening position for removing a hank from its own hank-carrier; the head (72) is movable in three orthogonal directions and rotatable, by sliding members (25, 40, 70) and guides (15,16; 31,32; 63,64) and a rotational device (50).
